  1. Well he was an all star. :-P But there paying for his versatillity (which in this case means playing several positions at below average). His numbers should improve in Colorado and he strikes me as a perfect fit for a NL bench as he was in Houston before. Look at some other contracts going to sluggers, this is not that much of a strech.
  2. Would add another pitcher to the mix, a young one who is coming off of a down year. I dont know if the Orioles need anymore outfielders but would this deal make sense for Milwaukee?
  3. I saw on MLBtraderumors that the Brewers have interest in Jack Hannahan on a minor league deal, who spent last year in the minors for the Mariners and then Red Sox. Hes an excellent fielder, but with a weak bat. Hes been in the majors with the Tigers (briefly), A's and Mariners. Hes primarily a third baseman but I see that he played a decent amount at second last year as well for the Mariners AAA team and then Pawtucket.
  4. I wish Brad Fischer was coming back. Very great guy and from my alma mater, Blissfield.
  5. I wonder if you could trade Hart for someone like Andrew Miller of Florida, Collin Balester of Washington or even Andy Sonnenstein of Tampa. It would add some pitching depth. If they hadnt gone out and got Gomez, id say maybe for Jordan Schafer from Atlanta.
  6. The Rodney balls, Raburn balls, and Joyce ball are still for sale. I now have Ryan Perry autographed photos for sale.
  7. Prior is done. Hes tried coming back for three years and people get excited but he never comes back. Wang is a young ground ball machine but he has had two seasons in a row with injury concerns. This past year he was just awful before he was put on the D.L and out of his misery. I dont know what he would cost in trade or as a free agent but he could be a nice bargin if he comes back healthy. I'd be more intrested in projects like Kelvim Escobar, and Brett Myers.
  8. Tigers fan here and I hope that neither Jackson nor Granderson are traded. Both are easily in my top 3 favorite players. Jackson had a rough second half. But he was very good about going deep into the game and alot of times he gave up runs when he probley should have exited the game but Leyland left him in. There were rumors of tipping pitches and his arm may have grown tired by seasons end. Autograph fans would love Jackson as he loves to sign for his fans. Jackson is arbatration eligable so his salary is going up. On Tiger boards, one name that came up was Mat Gamel for Jackson. Granderson has a misleading stat line. His homers are nice but his average and doubles are down while he can not hit lefties. He is a good defender and a even greater person. He takes care of the Detroit and Michigan youths. He also is from Chicago and does alot of work there. I dont think the Tigers want to trade him or Jackson for that matter but realize they could be attractive pieces to others and are willing to listen. Both are under team control and Granderson is arguably a top 8 centerfielder in baseball. The Tigers are also intrested in trading C Gerald Laird, who is a excellent defender and mainly at throwing baserunners out. With Milwaukee not bringing Kendall back and LuCroy and Salome possible replacements, Laird could be a gap starter until they are ready or he could replace Mike Rivera.
  9. I dont have time to go back to the start and find the piece about Harang but was Harang ever confirmed to be offerered?
  10. http://community.post-gazette.com/blogs/pbc/archive/2009/11/10/conditioning-camp-day-1-pirates-offered-capps-to-brewers-in-trade.aspx Havent seen this posted yet. Matt Capps was offered for Hardy.
  11. So is Manny Parra not expected to be in the rotation next year? Does he have any trade value left? Id say that Hardy for Guthrie from Baltimore or a deal for John Maine from the Mets or even Fausto Carmona from the Indians would be intresting.
  12. Whats the RO infront of the MLB stand for?
  13. Also, just got a second Fernando Rodney ball for sale/trade, as well as a spare Matt Joyce ball for sale or trade. So if anyone is intrested in them- I have 2 Rodney's, 1 Ryan Raburn, and a Matt Joce ball. Each comes boxed, with a COA and Hologram.
  14. Yeah, everyone knows Tavarez is a head case.
  15. They dont have to put him on their 40 man roster. Any team other then Tampa wanting Morlan would of had to but as his home organization, the Rays just have to accept him back and place him on a minor league roster.
  16. So, does that mean that Morlan has cleared waivers? I believe he has to clear to be offered back to Tampa. Id be stunned if the Rays didnt want him back.
  17. I like when players ask where you want them to sign. But at Tigerfest this year I had a major problem with the prospects signing over one another almost on the balls. Plus I got a ball with a sewn on logo signed by Gerald Laird, when I looked at it the logo had to be upside down to display the auto correctly.
  18. 1.Do any of you guys have autographed programs? Whats the best way to display them? My autographs are on the covers and I dont want them exposed but I dont want them rubbed off against something else. 2.Do any of you guys have signed media guides? Mine are signed on the inside pages, by the players name and number, whats the bestr way to display these? 3.I see that the ball players dont use Sharpies when signing a ball...what the best pen to use to sign a ball?
  19. They are signed by Ryan Raburn and Fernando Rodney. If your intrested PM me or email me at vannzee@hotmail.com. The balls come boxed with a hologram and a COA.
  20. I didnt realize that your first reply was to me lol sorry.
  21. Just a few guys im intrested in following this year- SP Sean Black, Seton Hall BA had a lot of love for him after his first start. What round is he looking at? SP Chris Fetter, Michigan Ive seen him a few times but never overly impressed. Considering he hasnt been drafted before, what round is he looking at?
  22. I have a gold parrelle season highlights card of Randy Johnson, its numbered up to 2008 but I have number 0001 (so the first one they made)...worth anything?
  23. I rather look into Tony Abreu. He missed all of last season with a injury to his groin but can play 2nd, and third with abit of short. His stats in 2007 with the Dodgers look better then I was expecting.
  24. How could they fear lossing Scarpetta in the rule five if he does not have enough minor league years to therefore being eligable for rule v selection?
