  1. Was just chuckling at Bradley K-ing on the worst pitch of the AB. Just not his year. There is no way he makes the playoff roster. Likely dfa'd at the end of spring training 2022.
  2. The pitching matchups in this Phillies series are a little rough. Just need to avoid getting swept. I don't care if the offense comes through or if Lauer or Freddy twirl a gem. It would be nice to get tonight's game.
  3. Yeah. I'm hoping thats the last we see of Hoby. Gustave and Barker should be on the next plane to Milwaukee. DFA Topa or MIlner (or put Topa on the 60 day DL if his elbow is toast).
  4. Gotta think he's headed to the IL or AAA.
  5. Yep. Wong to the IL. Bettinger to AAA. Escobar and Paralta activated. Pablo Reyes is spared another day. 09/03/21 Milwaukee Brewers optioned RHP Alec Bettinger to Nashville Sounds. 09/03/21 Milwaukee Brewers activated 3B Eduardo Escobar from the 10-day injured list. 09/03/21 Milwaukee Brewers activated RHP Freddy Peralta from the 10-day injured list. 09/03/21 Milwaukee Brewers placed 2B Kolten Wong on the paternity list. https://www.mlb.com/brewers/roster/transactions
  6. Yep. I'm watching the game on FS1. They have showed the Brewers dugout several times and Dan Vogelbach is present. Gotta figure he is activated tomorrow. The McCalvey tweet seems to confirm this.
  7. I'm watching the game on FS1. They have showed the Brewers dugout several times and Dan Vogelbach is present. Gotta figure he is activated tomorrow. *Edit - Apparently McCalvey tweeted it will be Vogelbach and Topa.
  8. Jace has found his consistency. A former 1st round draft pick has found his game and it’s been awesome for the Brewers. I’ll gladly admit I was wrong. The OBP in 2020 and 2021 has been unreal. I will take a utility infielder with a .400 OBP any day.
  9. Boxberger is a vet, I don't think a 3rd consecutive day of work is a huge concern for him. Hader has done it, but it's rare. All depends on how they feel I think. If any of the 3 would be truly unavailable I would guess it would be Devin. With a 9.5 game lead in the division I am not sure they want to push it with any of these guys. Either way, I hope the offense just puts this one away early.
  10. Big game tonight. I gotta think there is a good chance Hader, Box, Williams might not be available. Going to need a great effort by the offense, by Woody, and likely by Strickland/Cousins.
  11. Mind blowing on Hiuria. I think at this point you just need to shut Hiura down. He's just embarrassing himself. Send him to Arizona to work on his swing. Let him report to ST next year and go from there. Gotta think he is 100% mentally shot. Either that, or he has an undiagnosed vision issue(I would hope the Brewers have checked that).
  12. +1. Many had this guy begged for a long term role in the MLB bullpen.
  13. Yeah with Gausman and Webb going against Anderson and Lauer in the final 2 games I’d be very happy with 2-2. +1. Tonight is really the key. Not an easy matchup. But one that swings in the Brewers favor. I know it would be mathematically tuff for the Reds to get back into things. However, I don't want to have to sweat things out and win a bunch down the stretch. Would much rather clinch the division early and line up the pitching matchups for the playoffs.
  14. I'm thinking a 2-2 split would be a pretty good result on this 4 game road set against the Giants. With Burnes starting, tonight's game would be a good one to take. In addition, all reliever's should be available.
  15. The time to trade him and get anything in return may be passing. Damn, just so disappointing. Boy. AAA pitchers are even finding ways to whiff him at a record pace. Yuck.
  16. Add me to the list of people not thrilled with the idea of Tellez/Vogelbach as the long term 1B solution.
  17. Bummer on Sanchez. Dude quickly went from being a trusted member of the bullpen to AAA. I was hoping he was the real deal. But if you can't protect a 5 run lead in the ninth..... On the other hand hopefully that is the last we see if Yardley. I always thought he was smoke and mirrors.
