  1. Ready? McCarthy always called WR screens. And...they rarely worked well.
  2. I wish they would make an update with the retro logo in the modern colors...I am going to buy one here eventually and while I love the retro I don't really want that bright blue on my car.
  3. I don't know, but if K9HANK isn't taken I am jumping on it just to bring back the good memories of how much we loved him.
  4. Even worse would be another All-Pro drama queen two years in a row. After missing out on the playoffs after years of excellence cutting off baggage is common.
  5. They need guys who can connect with Rodger's playing style...I don't think burning money and high picks on Brown is the best investment. James Jones is a great example. The dude just knew where to go and how to get open when Rodgers scrambled. They lacked that this year. I am not sure if bringing in a vet is the answer or just giving the current guys more time to get used to Rodgers playing style and the playbook. I think we got a little spoiled watching Rodgers toss to the same guys constantly because mental errors by receivers and not being where they should be was not very often.
  6. Wow, that spray chart. I know you can't just count all the dots that would've been over the MP fence, but Grandal could have a chance to hit 30-35 HRs this season. Right, many factors go into it, but I would venture to guess most of those over the line aren't HRs anyway. That is where they land. So they need to travel farther to actually get over the wall (not hit the wall). Regardless I expect him to hit 30+, much like I expected Yelich to do the same coming here.
  7. Well if you are Yasmani Grandal you get major one year money, get to shed the QO, and are likely to have your best offensive yet. He should be set up for a major payday even next offseason. If he was only getting offered 3/$36mil type money this move makes a good amount of sense for him.
  8. You can call them, if they have them they will ship.
  9. If you consider Davies and Anderson garbage, you're going to have a lot of dumpster divers. Why is it that every time the Brewers deem a player as available, there are fans who deem them not worth anything? Davies had a rough injury-plagued year last year, but was great in 2017, is entering his age 26 year and is cost controlled for several more seasons. Anderson, despite his propensity to give up long balls last year, was actually still a very effective, durable starter last year. I mean, look at his numbers! Even in a down year, pretty much any team would take those stats from a mid-rotation guy. And he was better than that in 2017. It's frustrating to see people look right past stats, results and proof. We are talking about Madison Bumgarner. A guy who is probably still a #1 starter despite decline and would likely be given a QO giving us a pretty high draft pick for him leaving. Davies and Anderson are limited ceiling guys that provide little to nothing for a rebuilding team. They would rather take a 1/100 chance on a prospect than waste space in a trade for a mid-rotation starter who will be gone before they return to relevance. Davies/Anderson have value in the right trade...I have said that many times in the past. However, the Giants aren't making either a centerpiece for Bumgarner.
  10. All this "shell of his former self"...yet he would arguably be our best starter going into the year. Burnes/Peralta/etc. might be crazy talk, but Davies/Anderson or other garbage is a step crazier. He may be a rental, but he is still a really good pitcher. Our garbage and spare parts is not landing him. Ray seems like a believable headliner with some minor pieces added on.
  11. I am just not a huge one year rental kind of guy and I don't think he is elite enough to pour multiple chips into. If he was more like his 2016 self I would find such a deal tempting...but I don't think he is a guy who I might expect to shutdown two games in a postseason series. I would rather spend one of those pitchers, Ray, and more to get Kluber over Bumgarner. Not concerned though. Because I have followed rumors for years and don't get caught up in asking prices etc. The Brewers won't give that much up unless they hate one of those three players.
  12. Do you know where they were sold? Team Store during postseason
  13. If only that is what people cared about. Reality is I think people enjoy a not true champion, people love upsets. Not saying they would happen or often...but people would like it. Regarding next years QB situation. I could see Mertz winning the job outright if he really dominates in practice etc...I would guess Coan gets the nod in the early going though. Not like their season is going anywhere special. If Alabama and Clemson (and Georgia) can start freshman quarterbacks, so can Wisconsin. Didn't say they cannot do it...I just don't think that is how Wisconsin will do it.

  15. Rodgers getting sacked after 2.5 seconds almost every time and all the throw-a-ways proves how absolutely terrible our receivers were at getting open. All that time to generate plays and what did we do with it? NOTHING. Does Rodgers hold onto it too long sometimes and not go for short yardage plays? Sure, but I would argue in every previous year of his career that was just fine. Because when he got extra time he made big things happen more often than not...it worked. It surely didn't work this year when no receiver could get open to make plays.
  16. Seriously though...it is getting old. I don't mind me a fantasy trade idea here and there, but lets be real here. Braun isn't going anywhere. We blew the one single chance we had.
  17. Right, that is what I am saying. Someone questioned that 4 teams might already be too much, but we have already seen a #4 seed win it all twice. To be even more exact the #1 seed has never won the playoff and this will be the first year an undefeated team wins. Last year neither the #1 or #2 made it.
  18. Didn't a #4 Alabama win it all? So I think that is good proof four teams isn't a bad idea. Are you going to have years where a stacked team makes anyone look silly? Are you going to have teams that make it due to weak schedule to get stomped? Yah, that is football for you. I think over time though you will see 3-4 seeds and even 5-8 seed teams either make noise or win it all. I think that is the point. Not like non-playoff bowl games avoid blowouts.
  19. Unless I missed someone Caldwell was probably just interviewed to make sure a minority was interviewed for the job.
  20. What they really need is a turnover forcing defense. For their QB (and somewhat lack of offensive WR threat) they can't put together lengthy drives.
  21. He threw the ball 11 times, so pretty much like nothing. His INT was a miserable decision. Hard to really judge him when they didn't need to throw the ball, ever. If he would have avoided the INT decision it would have been a solid showing.
  22. ^^Hit the nail on the head...my oh my. On another note I visited an office in my agency and one individual was allowed to bring dogs into work because he trained service dogs that were in the early stages. I actually thought it was pretty great and it was always nice when he came to visit my workspace. I could see how allergies could be a problem, but their are breeds that won't really trigger a dog allergy if a workplace was motivated to have one. If you just don't like dogs, well, tough luck. The story about someone's office reeking of dog...that isn't because there was a dog in your office, it was because they didn't care for it. The office I visited didn't smell at all, not even the individuals cubical. Someone calling the therapy dogs at colleges "silly" don't need understand why they do those things. It isn't because people need them, it is just another one of the million programs they put together. No one needs them and 99.99% of people that go to see said dogs are just doing so to go pet a dog. Not because they are stressed and it makes them feel better.
  23. Meh, could be worse after a terrible season. Brewers blew it not trading him last year.
  24. I have honestly never understood this argument when it comes to baseball. Baseball has natural breaks and that is where they put the commercials in. The pitcher needs his warm up pitches and people have to get on/off the field. They don't draw this out to fit in commercials. There aren't forced breaks like there are in football/basketball to have commercials. On another note I am not sure why there is complaining about kids sitting on tablets and not playing with neighborhood kids. The kids doing this aren't even old enough to go to a game by themselves.
