  1. Exactly why you aren't going to get some bargain now. Why would the White Sox do that? They don't want to rebuild.
  2. Why do you feel sorry for Puig? If he is good, the fans will embrace him, just like all other fans in MLB. Because nobody can be good all the time, and Puig's childish behavior grates on fans after a while. He refuses to keep his tongue in his head, admires long drives that don't go out and makes sure that all his gold is visible at all times and is basically a loud mouthed idiot. I'm sure a Dodger fan could list much more. Brewers 100 Cubs 88 Reds 82 Pirates 81 Cards 57 Fixed
  3. Yah, but Brown is old...how long can we depend on him being a next-level guy? I also think his impact is majorly overblown. Our problems on offense are much deeper than little weapons. That offensive line was pretty bad compared to years past and while I believe inexperience at WR was also a big problem I am not convinced Brown saves the day.
  4. Wow, nothing like how it was described yesterday. Kind of strange that wouldn't have been mentioned.
  5. Everyone who I know that has it says the exact same thing. They put up wth it because it is so much cheaper than cable. To me, not worth the hassle. I would rather have nothing than cable.
  6. MLB need to lobby for minor league players. That is the only way anyone will ever get something to change with MiLB salaries. The probably is most players don’t care after they make it and weren’t MiLB players long before making it. Not to mention a good chunk had $1mil+ signing bonuses. It’s too bad they just don’t care to help what they once were.
  7. Even if it is just a little soreness this is bad...very bad. Coming off a injury, he has had months upon months to rehab, and he still has soreness? That usually is a recipe for disaster...just not good.
  8. I HATE Hulu. Always glitches, delay can be bad, always freezing....I would never recommend it. I do not kid you, it makes me made daily. Never a good day with Hulu.
  9. Heck I would avoid FA at this point too. Disaster waiting to happen.
  10. I love that commercial and I am not ashamed!!!
  11. Yup, I spent an hour this afternoon typing into that link. Kind of fun, but it is hard to come up with the perfect one with only 6 characters and no spaces. I found myself really needing that 7th character many times. Was also a little bummed that SIXTO was taken. Yah I have one that would be great at 7 characters...but man I want the Brewers plate...that is the point. UGGGGGH! SUPPAN is available...haha
  12. 6 character limit. I want them too, but I cannot find anything decent to do with that kind of limit. They cost $40 a year. $15 extra to issue (one time cost). After you get a good idea go to the link below to find out someone already has it: https://trust.dot.state.wi.us/ppup/searchPlate.do Also make sure to realize you cannot do spaces so “19 3K” is really “193K”.
  13. Odd to say some guys are “the real deal” and then mention a guy who was a real deal not too long ago and was a major disappointment (Moncada). No prospect is the real deal. Moncada may turn it around, but it is a reminder there is an endless list of guys who ended up real big flops.
  14. C - Lucroy 1B - Fielder 2B - Molitor SS - Yount 3B - Cirillo LF - Braun CF - Gomez RF - Yelich P - Higuera Only debates, in my opinion, are 1B, CF, and P. I could see an argument for Cooper, Cain, or Sheets for those. CC was obviously insane, but I don’t consider him for such a list as a 2 month rental. Seems...wrong. I assume we get to consider them at there best and that is why I went Fielder over Cooper. Cooper has some great years, but Fielder had a few that just were flat out better in my opinion. I will defer on the defense side of things because I wasn’t even alive to see him play. Cain is a valid choice, but Gomez was much better in defense in his golden years and had better offense. Sheets/Higuera is a toss up...I went Higuera just because he did pretty amazing things for the time period. It seems people want guys who weren’t as wild with the bat (higher average and less K’s).
  15. The insurance policy would be so ridiculously high for something like that you would cripple your franchise if said player didn’t decline. It is already $40mil for a policy if he gets injured and is proven he can never play again. How often do you see that, almost never. It would likely cost over $10mil a year for a policy that covers some type of decline.
  16. Was Cecil Cooper actually good on defense? I would lean Fielder, but I suppose defense could sway it back Coopers way.
  17. Speaking from a point of ignorance, aren't most huge contracts insured? Yes
  18. In that case I'll take Hank Aaron in RF I think actually being good is still required. No offense, but Hank Aaron was trash as a Brewer.
  19. Man way to fluff it up with positions no player would ever seriously play. Braun is not going to 3B or CF, Aguilar is not playing 3B, Moustakas at SS, and I don't get listing anyone at pitcher. They are quite versatile though and most everyone could be sneaked at a position elsewhere if they were dying to find offense towards the end of the game. Aguilar is probably the least versatile as he probably can't play anywhere but 1B. I guess he could even play 3B in a serious pinch...but that is a pretty bad defensive risk.
  20. You must have a strong dislike of Gomez for some reason. I mean Mike Cameron? Carlos Gomez was one of the most electric players for his short stint of greatness. To be quite frank it isn’t close.
  21. So almost ever censored word on here is something clearly a picture of would not be acceptable. Turd is not censored...so would a picture of...
  22. I don't see why not. The list is predictive & there is a very good chance that VGJ is a top 100 player in baseball this year. I remember FanGraphs did a Franchise Player draft back in 2011 & Carson Cistulli got absolutely roasted for picking Mike Trout at #3 when he had yet to play a game above AA. Turns out he should have gone #1, It isn’t predictive. It’s an article that literally docks players for not being proven (Yelich) and then has a guy like Guerrero in the Top 100 who hasn’t even played in the MLB. He isn’t even an MLB baseball player. He doesn’t even qualify for a Top 100 MLB player list.
  23. Why would Peralta be at risk for an innings limit prior to Burnes or Woodruff? 2018 total innings pitched for the 3 bolded... Peralta - 144.1 Woodruff - 126 Burnes - 125.2 My bad, I must be thinking too much of last year where he was destined to hit a limit if he pitched all year in the rotation...which of course he didn't. He would be fine next year to go the full 180+ broadly speaking. The previous year innings isn't a big deal from what I have understood. It all matters on previous career high innings, not so much year before. Assuming the Brewers follow such a guideline that some question these days. Health wise that may be legitimate, but I still think a major innings increase that you have never experienced is likely to gas you come the later part of the season.
  24. Correct, Counsell had said Nelson is throwing BP sessions so he sounds pretty healthy. There is a lot more than throwing at 100%, but he sounds like he will be ready come opening day as it stands right now.
  25. I would love for these numbers to be correct, I just feel like there's some chance that Burnes doesn't open in the rotation...and some chance that Peralta forces his way in. Maybe I'd feel better if you went 90% Burnes and 10% Peralta. Overall I like it though, I hope it shakes out this way. I want to see Woodruff start so we can see him hit another dinger. I will say it is hard to even guess what the Brewers will do just because of how they are using pitchers. They don't seem scared to put a better pitcher in the bullpen. That being said I won't let last year trick me. Burnes in the rotation is too obvious for it to not happen. I would also like to see Woodruff get a spot, but I am okay with him waiting it out until someone bombs (Anderson or Davies) or a major injury.
