  1. UCF trying to acclaim some National Champion title is pretty embarrassing. They only proved themselves worthy of a shot at the top teams after their bowl game victory. Sorry but you have to prove that against teams in the regular season. Regardless it is pretty sad because it’s not like they beat a top 4 team twice in a row. They were a long way away from winning anything. I understand not liking the system...but they are taking it a little far in my opinion. To the point they just look ridiculous.
  2. Is there something that makes you think Rodgers doesn’t call plays. I’m guessing when they no-huddle(which they do a lot) Rodgers is picking from a few options. He is a football god with a high football IQ. He audibles a ton. Honestly nothing makes me think Rodgers is unlike any other great QB and has a lot of playcalling ability.
  3. What is he asking? It's hard to predict something will be a disaster when you don't know the details. Until otherwise reported I go off the assumption of what he is realistically expected to sign for and what similar players have gotten recently. So you are looking at 4/$70mil.
  4. I Know a lot of people want to see man coverage, but haven’t we been drafting slower DBs more suited for zone? With the lack of speed we have I have a hard time seeing successful man coverage unless we get quite great safety production.
  5. Let’s see: Has only played more than 140 games once and offensively has been pretty average his entire career while depending on defense to bring a majority of his value. Sound like a pretty solid disaster signing in the making.
  6. Could have something to do with Aaron Rodgers and McCarthy calls the plays. If they are happy with the way he calls play some i see why he would stay around. I know most on here hate his play calling so please save me those constant rants.
  7. I like Pina as much as the next guy but he has offensive regression written all over him. Vogt, Susac and Bandy all have their warts as well. I am only advocating for Lucroy to guard against that potential regression especially given the Brewers currently can afford it. Except Lucroy would never ever consider coming here with Pina present. It just isn’t a realistic proposal. Pina May regress, but the Brewers seem pretty content with him and already signed Vogt.
  8. No way Lucroy is coming here if Pina is here. It doesn’t make sense for either party.
  9. I wouldn’t totally ignore the possibility. If Attanasio wants to open his wallet they could very easily add him and have his contract done and over with before payroll limits ever become a problem. Worst case it gets front loaded slightly to make the later year a touch less problematic. What is Cobb? A 4/$80mil man at best(betting he gets less)? That would be too hard to take on.
  10. Good luck to anyone and their crypto currencies...I really wish you luck if you are trying to get into bitcoin. You may be right that somewhere in our future we will be using it, but the speed for it to get there is not going to be very fast. These currencies are rising at fantastic levels, but they are no more useful than they were yesterday and no more widespread. These currencies have huge percentages held in not some many hands. The bubble will pop eventually. Crypto currencies are not an investment...at least not a very true one. It is more of a big ole gamble and I hope you aren’t gambling too much. Someday a lot of people are going to lose a whole lot.
  11. Hernandez is really good and you guys are selling him short. The market could kill his value, but I think his value isn’t too far off what was proposed(ignoring all other factors outside of him). I’d say his worth is whichever guy of Burnes/Ortiz the Brewers think lesser of, Derby, and Ernesto. That would give us a pretty good young 2B on the cheap for three years. Of course you could make the argument that the Brewers don’t really need a cheap guy there and signing Walker would make more sense. That argument is pretty accurate and Hernandez is probably not a very good fit. That doesn’t make the proposal a a joke from a value point of view though. The proposed deal is pretty lopsided from my point of view, but not crazy lopsided like the writer is some kind of fool.
  12. There are many holidays that fall around Christmas for other religions. I know it is shocking. Obviously for most people that means “Christmas/New Years Eve”. Saying Merry Christmas, unless you know said person celebrates it, is probably best avoided. Do I personally really care that much? Not at all.
  13. 1. We have seen how much a QB means to a team. We went from of the best to maybe the worst. We weren’t going to win games with Hundley. He was absolutely miserable. The QB is by far the main reason for the results we got under the Hundley era. I’m not blaming McCarthy for the terrible offense. No way. 2. This year we learned Dom Capers is not the answer. The defense was terrible and the personnel he has isn’t even that bad. Is it a great defense? No, but he was not working with worst in the league personnel as the results showed.
  14. Brett Hundley sucks. I don’t care what he is throwing to or who is protecting him. He has had time and places to throw. He can’t make plays and throws more INTs ham TDS.
  15. I'm a 20 game holder and I got mine over 2 weeks ago. I would say call your rep but the frame really doesn't fit on a license plate without hiding the stickers. I'm not even sure I'm comfortable blocking my front stickers. You have front stickers in MN?
  16. David Lemahieu is nowhere near being Eric Sogard. He has been way better away from Coors the last two years. He also plays surperior defense. You can think his number are highly inflated due to Coors and not like him, but no need for questionable comparisons.
  17. Jimmy Nelson definitely had the looks of a #1 guy last year. Though to me an Ace and a #1 guy can be different. A #1 to me is one of the Top 32 pitchers or so in baseball. An Ace is a guy who is just filthy dominant even on days where he doesn’t have all his stuff. I’m talking the Kershaw etc. of the world.
  18. Do owners complain just to complain? If it was that big of a deal they would have waste a roster spot for two days and not IRed h. That is why the NFL doesn’t care.
  19. Two or three option years on Gallardo? What a giant waste of money that would be. To do that we would have to pay him buyouts when he, not surprisingly isn’t very good. You can’t just put on option years for fun. Those come at a cost and giving them to a guy like Gallardo just does not make any sense.
  20. Design flaw...I guess? Honestly I have seen people cover it up before. It’s really not a huge deal...unless you are covering it for a reason. I drove around a car with them half covered for years and no one ever batted an eye. Put it on the front? Only a problem for the back.
  21. How are you signing two major FAs and you didn’t mention dropping(or at least restructuring) at least one of Matthews/Nelson/Cobb? Not restructuring he first two would just be dumb. The way Nelson played without Rodgers would look terrible on the open market and Matthews isn’t near as impactful as he once was.
  22. If a team acquired him they probably aren’t so negative on him like a lot of poster here. I would assume he would start.
  23. That was one of those deals motivated by making him a franchise player and all the perks/revenue that come with having a “Brewer for life” guy. Obviously we could argue all day if the value of that makes up for the overpay in older years...but that’s besides the point. As we know Ryan Braun quickly destroyed the “Brewers for life/Yount type fandom” value destroying the main motivation for that deal. Diminished play and injuries has made it pretty close to a disaster. At least Ryan Braun still plays decent when he is only the field vs. a Jeff Suppan who was utter trash from the start to end.
  24. Gerrit Cole’s value is living off that 2015 season. Also I don’t think the Pirates give one ounce of care the Cole was a big Yankees fan.
  25. I think it means little to nothing right now because he could be getting a Gallardo type deal and not even make the opening day roster. I also don’t think the Brewers are anywhere remotely close to shutting the door on a major starting rotation addition which would kick Hader/Suter out faster than you penciled them in. Pretty worthless to make any assumptions at this point.
