  1. I think it means little to nothing right now because he could be getting a Gallardo type deal and not even make the opening day roster. I also don’t think the Brewers are anywhere remotely close to shutting the door on a major starting rotation addition which would kick Hader/Suter out faster than you penciled them in. Pretty worthless to make any assumptions at this point.
  2. I would go Jeff Suppan. Terrible numbers every year and had a pretty major impact on the payroll for years. I can’t say that about anyone else. Garza was at least useful for some of his time here.
  3. He was a 14 game winner that motivated the offense every time he went out!!
  4. The Rays just did what we should have done with Braun...traded him before they risked being stuck with him burning a hole in their payroll.
  5. Jhoulys Chacin and Yovani Gallardo in the same week. Haha what is going on Stearns. Is it 2011, seriously. Jhoulys Chacin is an interesting guy. I guess it should be interesting.
  6. Ha, I also picked up Aaron Rodgers a while back and was hoarding QBs. When I picked him up I had Brees/Prescott already. I now have Prescott/Rivers/Rodgers. Basically hoarded QBs and the person I play in the semis is stuck with Mariota.
  7. Yah trading guys probably not in our Top 30 prospects would have been deadly...
  8. Well if you consider them the same Arroyo is controlled longer and thus cheaper because he isn’t in arbitration. That is his positive if that is your thought process.
  9. I found this to be pretty funny watching the game. The announcer was supporting this "bend but don't break D". All I could think was...OK. We were down by two touchdowns and there was a ton of time left still. We didn't need to rush and could walk down the field.
  10. Brett Hundley wasn't even that impressive vs. Browns. The Packers most just threw it short and let the WRs gain the tough yards. Most of the Packers big plays weren't even that good. The Browns tackle like an 0-12 team...that is the biggest reason the Packers won. Brett Hundley can't throw deep...heck even medium depth throws are pretty meh. No one is giving up a high pick for a QB who can't throw a deep ball. The Packers would never have gotten down the field if not for the big punt return because it takes Hundley forever to march down the field.
  11. Archer and Lynn is a little more realistic. I wouldn’t doubt a FA signing and a trade. However to get Cobb plus one of those two means all the Dominos fell your way in some perfect magical world.
  12. I will face Stanton any day over Harper.
  13. No doubt. You can tell me all about how injuries will happen and not all prospects turn out, but you can't just sit on Braun/Santana/Brinson/Phillips/Broxton/(and maybe Thames partially). You gotta get rid of someone and not waste away value.
  14. Haha what. He has been pretty bad two years in a row. Surprised he was able to lock down that big of a contract. I guess I’m the end it is pretty petty...but jesh.
  15. I mean I would venture to guess a majority of those games would turn out to be a massive joke...I don't think that is helping matters. You aren't competing for a national championship if you win your pathetic conference. A top team will run you over like a semi to make the end of your season incredibly depressing. The talent is not as spread out in NCAAF as it is in NCAAB etc.
  16. Adding more teams does nothing to help non power conferences. Unless you assure them one spot they will never get close to the college playoff. One of those teams would have to schedule a crazy non conference slate to get consideration. UCF is #15 in the CFP...that waaaay off #4 or #6. Not even on the map.
  17. He gets the grief because he made a selfish play and failed to do a simple task. It is like when I play madden and instead of kneeling I chuck bombs and try to put up more points only to give up a pick-6 to tie the game up.
  18. The Packers should have been in a second Super Bowl and a pretty recent one. Too bad Bostick came along. The Packers failures are a little overblown. Not saying a change may not be right, but lets not act like they are total failures.
  19. So you are basing your decision off of Scooter General...yikes. That is exactly how I would never want Stearns to think. We would be a solid 110 loss team yearly.
  20. I thought the same watching the game today. I honestly was starting to wonder if they would dare start Haskins just because he seems to match up better vs. Wisconsin. Though I don't think any team would dare start a freshman over a successful senior and remembered this isn't fantasy football. I am extremely confident in the Badgers if they contain Barrett in the pocket and he doesn't start running wild on them. It likely comes down to the Badgers not gifting OSU on turnovers. Hornibrook needs to be smart for once and Taylor needs to hold onto the football.
  21. Honestly Alabama should drop to #5 and Auburn and Wisconsin should both enter the Top 4. Even Alabama’s two Top 25 wins were rather unimpressive. And NO FSU was not a ranked anything in my book. Wisconsin should slot in at #4 going into next weekend.
  22. I mean the only way they were going to trend down is if something happened(Wisconsin losing) at which point you wouldn’t want them. With every passing week the Badgers odds of playing for a playoff spot increases as do ticket prices. Maybe if OSU loses today the ticket prices might take a hit? Probably not to where they were when Wisconsin originally clinched though.
  23. We would lose a 2nd round pick. If losing a 2nd round pick is the decision maker...terrible.
  24. Every prospect has a specific value(**can greatly vary amping teams though**) and there is a reason for that. In general no prospect is overrated nor is any prospect underrated. So with that being said if you offer the equivalent value or better in what I want then that person is tradable. The only player that’s should ever be near “can’t trade” territory is someone who is really really special. A guy who could turn into a Trout/Stanton/Jeter/etc. where they make such a massive difference as one guy at pre-FA prices. Even then we see quite a few of those types of guys getting traded. There are a few guys I would shy away from in deals because I believe they would be harder to replace in the system: Hiura Lutz Ortiz Brinson Harrison I also would have a preference to trade guys who are at the end of the line with their prospect value and their MLB future potential is a little clearer. Which I think is something most MLB GMs tend to go with. You don’t see a lot of Tristan Lutz type players being traded. His surplus value is likely quite low, but the potential is exponentially higher. While his current value is correct(because so much of him is unknown) you sure would like to keep that player until you get a clearer picture.
  25. Here is my list: Any Questions?
