  1. Pretty much a given if Capuano had to go multiple innings we would lose.
  2. This team has been awful...AWFUL scoring runs lately. That steal attempt was called for. I doubt he ran on his own.
  3. You could just respect him for working the zone. If he can figure out hitting at all he will have an amazing value to the Brewers. His approach is to stand there until he has 2 strikes and then hopefully foul enough off so he can get walked. He will never hit the way he goes up to the plate. There is a reason his average is so low and it is because he isn't trying to hit the ball.
  4. On a scale of 1-99 Jonathan Villar's clutch rating is a 1. That dude is a choke job every time he has a big at-bat. That is the third time now I recall him striking out in a huge spot with the bases loaded.
  5. Colin Walsh reminds me of this kid on my HS team where he sucked so bad, but got walked/HBP every other at-bat. It's like he he has a force field to deflect balls out of the strike zone.
  6. Why? Have you ever looked at a MLB bullpen? That is what they are made out of. A bunch of guys with big arms that could never figure out off speed stuff consistently. If Peralta doesn't turn it around maybe he can find a success in the bullpen. Though his stuff has seemingly fallen off after last years injury I'm not so sure.
  7. Regarding Domingo Santana defensively...totally agree. Haven't seen one ounce of that "great" defense he has. Not even that strong arm everyone touted.
  8. I am so tired of the Peralta complaining. The entire rotation is garbage. Give it a rest already. Who cares what is jogging out there every 5 days. Peralta or some scrub in the minors you will get the same result.
  9. Thanks a lot Scott Boras!!!
  10. Yes...that is why they had him going to the Padres at #7. It was mentioned in the tidbit that the Padres want to go underslot so they can get better names at their other two high picks.
  11. The cold weather comment was referring to him having more potential than he is showing because he plays in cold weather so much. I don't know if I really agree...but that is what the mock draft was trying to say. What gets me is the fact the Brewers reportedly covet Groome and Ray, but we pick Ray. Why would we pick Ray over Groome if we really like both? Sorry if there is a pitcher we really like available I can't imagine the Brewers passing up that opportunity. Not to mention our scouting director has a thing for HS upside vs. college kids.
  12. How much longer before Walsh can go on the DL with a phantom injury till September? 90 days on the active roster right? So just through the month of May?
  13. I'm don't mean to offend any Colin Walsh supports...but he sucks. He sucks really bad for a guy with AA/AAA experience.
  14. Middle of the order gets 3 pitches and makes 3 outs. That is just bad baseball.
  15. Best of luck to him and I hope he can have some sort of career. His K rate is bonkers.
  16. I remember the last time Braun was intentionally walked to give Lucroy an at-bat with the bases loaded.
  17. Yah the problem is the writer wanted to do that.
  18. Yah Stearns is churning the bottom of the roster looking for someone to at least pretend to be a major league ballplayer.
  19. Move Honestly though their attendence is startling. They are on pace to barely get 1,000,000 to the ballpark. That is really scary and their fans jump ship so quick when the team starts to lose. Outside of their period of success in the 90s their attendance is just plain awful. Unless they string together many winning years attendance is lucky to get over 2mil.
  20. Really quite meaningless in the grand scheme of things. He already has a virtual no trade clause seeing the six teams he can't block a trade to don't make a whole lot of sense. Well maybe the Angels, but they don't have anything to trade for him.
  21. 8 innings from a starter and he probably could attempt a 9th inning. This is like a perfect game for this staff.
