  1. I'm not necessarily advocating to trade for Neshek, but if it is to occur, I hope that is is prior to the 21st so as not to have to face him anymore this year.
  2. What I'd change/add: Anderson = Grienke Nelson = Gallardo Drake = Loe 2017 mix < Saito, Mitre Perez > Counsell
  3. I keep thinking I'm seeing Spider Man playing catcher for the Phillies.
  4. Doesn't seem to be a very consistent set of stats between BBref and fox sports (source I found it on). I couldn't even find it on BBref during my admittedly brief search.
  5. Haha all I can think of is Braden Looper. He may have the Brewer record. Dude was absolute trash. 5.22 ERA and 39 HRs given up...14-7. I was thinking the same thing, Plush. By the way for those who were wondering...Going into tonight's game, Davies was 2nd in the majors with 7.4 run support per 9. Leading the way is Colorado's Antonio Senzatela with 8.2 By the way, in Looper's magical '09 season, he led all of baseball with 7.2 run support/9
  6. I remember once in the '80s listening to a game on the radio with my Dad. Tie game, extra innings 2 outs bases loaded and up comes Billy Beane. We both just knew a guy we never heard of with a name like Billy Beane was going to end up coming through to beat us and sure enough he did. To this day his name occasionally comes up when some nobody from the other team comes up to bat with the game on the line.
  7. One that stands out for me is J.M. Gold. I remember there being a lot of hype and lofty expectations when he was drafted 13th overall in '98.
  8. A Rod doing pregame interviews for the all-star game tonight...I got a somewhat unsettled feeling watching him grin and walk around the infield and inject reminders about his playing days. Not exactly creepy but certainly odd.
  9. We were wanting Piña brought in for the 8th. I'm not so sure about bringing in Knebel right now, keeping fingers crossed.
  10. What happened to Vogt's arm this year? The rest of his career he was right around league average in CS%. This year he's at 14%. I realize this stat fluctuates for some guys year to year but for what it's worth, I've yet to see him get a throw to the 2nd baseman on the fly for the Brewers.
  11. The infamous double platinum sombrero. Geoff Jenkins pulled it off for us in '04
  12. They must have had a softy usher in our section the night I went. They never even checked my ticket entering the section, in addition to letting obvious and very visible people sit where they shouldn't. I agree it's annoying when they do that, especially when I'm carrying things and have to stop to dig out a ticket stub and then hear somebody tell me how to find my seat like I've never been to a stadium before.
  13. I went to a game with my Dad vs the Pirates (the night of Santana's go ahead HR and Arcia's game-saver in the 9th) and since it was probably going to be our only game of the year we sprung for good seats from the re-sellers, in section 117. There were a couple Pirate fans who were constantly getting bumped out of seats in the section and finally in the 3rd inning they wound up right in front of us, couple of big tall guys. We were by the aisle which is already annoying with all the vendors and people blocking the view, this just was the icing on the cake. We moved about 8 seats to our left, as the mid row seats had stayed empty all game long. Watched the rest of the game from there right behind home plate. It was such a good call since the big guys stuck around and the girls to their immediate left were bombed by the 5th inning. Security hassled nobody, and I thought they certainly should have spotted the big Pirate clowns seat-crashing field level behind home plate if nothing else.
  14. There Sogard probably cost himself a hit by dogging it out of the box. I don't want to pick on the guy but he's gotta hustle. It is probably going to take a heap of runs to win this game.
  15. I'll take Devin Mesoraco as my dark horse pick to win the 2035 Rodney Dangerfield Look-Alike Contest.
  16. Sogard needed to advance to 2nd on Thames' flyball. Fortunately, Shaw makes it all ok. How many HRs total by the end of the game?
  17. 14-11 I'm predicting they take 5/6 vs Philly.
  18. Was Franklin our emergency catcher? I only ask because I saw him take the warmup pitches one inning when Piña had to get his gear on after being LOB. Anyhow, this move had to come today, best of luck to Nick.
  19. I wonder how many, if any, of his steals are of the other double steal variety: 1st and 3rd, 2 out, runner on first breaks to try to induce a rundown. I've noticed a few of these lately where the other team doesn't bite on it and just concedes 2nd base, but I cannot remember if any were Shaw.
  20. From the games I've watched this year, Aguilar's bat and approach look legitimate.
  21. I figured the tarp would be out there when we came back from break, since Brewers had their 5 innings at bat.
  22. KROD released by Detroit today. [sarcasm]The plan is working.[/sarcasm]
  23. Quite the line for Kodi tonight. 16 pitches, all strikes, for 3 IP.
  24. After Shaw got out at 3rd on his double, I had to look up how Milwaukee ranks in outs at 3rd. I never would have believed these stats without seeing it. 2017 Team Baserunning
