  1. This one will always be a bit of a sore spot of regret for me. This game happened at the same time as the Badgers hosted Indiana and beat Knight at the Fieldhouse for the first time since 1980, and the last time ever. I could have went with Dad but I was pretty nuts about the Packers and didn't want to miss that.
  2. This is pretty much what I was expecting tonight. I thought about not watching, but I’m too stubborn or something. Oh well.
  3. The one view would have shown for sure but the camera man was in the way. Oh well.
  4. Pauling's having a heck of a day. I still wouldn't be surprised if it ends up tied at half yet.
  5. What a stupid waste of a timeout. I hate that.
  6. Out in rural AK it’s been a huge game changer. A needle-mover, in the parlance of our times. Used to have to pay almost twice as much per month for the lowest package which was 40gb of crappy service.
  7. I’ll be surprised if they’re still around in a year or two, honestly. Since I’d only see the paper when visiting, the decline of quality and content has been really easy to notice. The state journal has been circling the drain for a few years. Of course I can’t see it now, my parents finally canceled it.
  8. Lupin on Netflix has been a fun watch. It’s English voiceovers but they did a good job so it’s not distracting or off putting.
  9. Thanks for the heads up! I just used A Milwaukee outfield of rf Dave Nilsson .1%, cf BJ Surhoff .2% and lf Caleb Gindl.04%. Got Arica in lf for atl at .4% too. This would be a great grid but I can’t think of anything rare for Washington right now.
  10. Does Bucks still have the midvale location? Bucks on cottage grove is my go to for pizza when I’m in town
  11. Disappointed in myself for missing it yesterday. A grid like today’s I can’t do much with.
  12. Because the nearest Rocky's is about 4,000 miles away from where I live. That, and I like making my own pizza.
  13. I'm traveling down for the holidays and planning on picking up more at Woodman's and making a large homemade Rocky's up here in Bethel too. I'll probably have to wait a month or so after the holidays so I don't outgrow my pants though...
  14. Must have learned their lesson after the Theismann play on MNF in '85, for those who remember it. I was watching that one with my parents. That was just terrible. I remember Dad saying matter-of-factly "He'll never play again. He'll be lucky to walk again."
  15. A former student of mine has a channel that is pretty fun. He deep dives into a variety of topics. https://www.youtube.com/@CaptainKRB/videos
  16. Guilty, I love seeing the superteams lose. And the subsequent griping I'm totally cool with. It's just the cherry on top of the sundae.
  17. Reading this thread got me feeling nostalgic for the old channel 47 broadcasts and promos of the 80s. Fortunately YouTube had something to scratch that itch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzpyGZ-lngQ
  18. Darn it. That means he’ll probably be really trying to behave at the Kohl center. Which is a little bit of a bummer because I’m going to that one. I always hope for a Frantrom incident when I watch an Iowa game.
  19. It kind of smacks of Ilitch's end of the line with the Tigers.
  20. I've long thought that some version of the 1981 split season playoff format could be fun and generate a ton of fan interest. It would probably need a little tweaking, such as including a wild card so as not to repeat what happened to the Reds that year. It would definitely add some excitement in the buildup to the end of the first half.
  21. Depends on which Woo we are getting. Will it be or will it be ? Serious answer though, I'd rather hang onto Wiemer and Mitchell a while longer.
  22. This is pretty much where I'm at. Personally I don't see much benefit to trading from the OF depth because: 1) we're probably going to need the depth, 2) I think trading any of Mitchell, Frelick or Wiemer at this point would be selling quite low on a player with pretty substantial upside, and 3) I want TT on the team. He's really solid at any OF position, can be decent with the bat, and I believe his stability brings more value to the Brewers than what they would receive for him in a trade. I'd rather hold on to what we've got and during 2024 really figure out who to keep. They've got the potential to have one of the greatest outfielder groups ever seen.
  23. Same. What I said heading into the season.
