  1. Kind of reminds me of Stiemsma in that one regard.
  2. Seeing the memory of Lefty Driesell on the broadcast made me think back to that 01 NCAA tournament game. Felt confident Lefty and Georgia State would get the better of UW led by Soderberg, and thankful for it as that pretty well sealed the deal that a coaching change was coming. What a big step forward for UW that loss was.
  3. I really hope he gets a bunch of regular MLB playing time, it would be fascinating.
  4. Crazy to think how much value the Sox could end up getting off trading Quintana. All the years of Cease (11.8 WAR and counting) and Eloy they've had so far, not to mention the returns if they trade either or both of them. All for the 4 years 3.8 WAR Quintana got the cubs at 30 something million.
  5. Yeah between that and his postgame interview, I came away from the SB with a different opinion on him than I went into it with.
  6. Just imagine if Ma Auto would have caught the game winner.
  7. If people seek out to watch the commercials ahead of time, then the commercial thing is more alive than ever. Free air time for the advertisers. DO people really find leaked SB commercials and watch them ahead of time? I cannot imagine being that bored.
  8. It'd really be something if they could somehow manage to regroup and pull this off in the 2nd half.
  9. The thing is, his situation would have been the same with any team (assuming he would have been a relief pitcher, of course) so his beef should have been with the system. Now, one interesting thought: is Hader's skill set singular enough where over more time as the lockdown fireman he could have influenced change to the arbitration valuation? I suppose probably not. But anybody who watched saw how valuable he was.
  10. I started watching this week off your recommendation, it's been entertaining so far. I'm always on the lookout for recommendations for shows that are on Prime, have gotten a few good ones from this forum. Sneaky Pete and Patriot come to mind.
  11. Train Wreck With Nudity is the name of my Soul Asylum/Barenaked Ladies mashup tribute band.
  12. All I'll add at this point is a prediction: I predict Burnes will throw a no-hitter for Baltimore this year. Following in the footsteps of Colborn, Bosio, Nomo, Fiers and Miley to throw one after leaving MKE. (And whoever else I'm missing) Not judging the trade because it's impossible at this point. It could range anywhere from bad to best trade we've ever had, time will tell.
  13. One thing I've been thinking about is the 2nd year player option. Whether Hoskins exercises the option or opts out is obviously based on how 2024 goes. We all assume he opts out if he has a good 2024. The thing that is kind of interesting to me is if he has results that make him inclined to stay with MKE for 25. There's 2 ways to look at that scenario. Yes it's somewhat of a risk for the Brewers in that it could cause them to be paying out the full contract. But another way of looking at is is that it could also turn out to be risk protection. If Hoskins is mediocre to poor in 24, my guess it would be associated with injuries or what have yous. What are the odds he'd have 2 bad seasons in a row? I prefer to look at it like if he has a down year in 24 at least we get to recoup in 25 where he hopefully has a much better season. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out...
  14. Never a doubt. Only saw the 2nd half that was an interesting on
  15. If it’s an ex-Brewer then maybe Chris Carter. Or maybe Jose Hernandez ETA Russell The Muscle
  16. This one will always be a bit of a sore spot of regret for me. This game happened at the same time as the Badgers hosted Indiana and beat Knight at the Fieldhouse for the first time since 1980, and the last time ever. I could have went with Dad but I was pretty nuts about the Packers and didn't want to miss that.
  17. This is pretty much what I was expecting tonight. I thought about not watching, but I’m too stubborn or something. Oh well.
  18. The one view would have shown for sure but the camera man was in the way. Oh well.
  19. Pauling's having a heck of a day. I still wouldn't be surprised if it ends up tied at half yet.
  20. What a stupid waste of a timeout. I hate that.
  21. Out in rural AK it’s been a huge game changer. A needle-mover, in the parlance of our times. Used to have to pay almost twice as much per month for the lowest package which was 40gb of crappy service.
