  1. Needs 34 to get past A Rod. Probably not going to happen but it would be kind of nice I guess.
  2. Something I’ve been doing lately with frozen pizzas is just getting cheese pizza and building from there. That’s nothing new but something I would highly recommend is to mince 1 or 2 cloves of garlic and make that the first topping and put the rest of your chosen ingredients on after the garlic That small step really pays dividends. Assuming you like garlic that is.
  3. Different story but I was becoming intrigued by Shelby Miller, and the work he was doing in the Brewers system. I was somewhat hoping to have him on a deal like zimmermans this year.
  4. Clearly Braun has never thrown a salt shaker at you
  5. Buehler's tweet was immature and unnecessary, but realistically, he wasn't wrong per se. The idea of Milwaukee getting Turner when LAD was working on bringing him back is somewhat laughable if we're being honest with ourselves.
  6. I doubt it will be the last. I think someday the world is going to at least approach normalcy, and I think people are going to want to have real face to face discussions after spending so much time without them. Somebody's bound to be clever enough to write a series full of twists and cliffhangers and sex and what have you that people love. I'll admit, I don't really care if it happens or not. So many times it was awkward being the one person in a group who had no interest in or knowledge of game of thrones whatsoever. Breaking Bad was fun but I watched it all way after the fact.
  7. I recall reading about how when people will run into him, he will stay in Shooter character. In his twitter rebuttal I wish he'd looked at the camera when he sank the put and said "this is how we do it in the pros."
  8. If we’re talking about low floors then Shaw’s 2019 performance is a nuclear fallout shelter. The variables at play make the 3b situation unpredictable as well as compelling. Nothing would totally shock me. Personally I wanted to see Urias get a chance to be the primary 3b in 2021 but agree that it is best to at least have a fallback option or two.
  9. As for SeaBass’s comment about the opening day murder that happened there, I believe that was the last straw for tailgating there. They are lunatics and lushes. I hope the dodgers pull a mariners this year. Set a new wins record and then bow right out of the playoffs.
  10. I've never understood the mentality of being a jerk to a fan of an opposing team. Friendly ribbing is one thing, you've got to expect that when you go on the road. But when people do the kinds of things WTP described, it just seems like they should be spending their money on therapy sessions instead of sporting events.
  11. To be fair I had similar luck last year and then was rewarded with their last game.
  12. Eh I think they’re decent. Playing tough competition this year. And it’s a stupid year. It seems like college basketball is to me the sport that is weirdest without fans.
  13. Yah they’ve yet to win a game I watch this season.
  14. Defense looked really good and Michigan didn’t shoot well either. Hopefully it continues.
  15. Yup. I felt like philly was the only team with a chance to beat us that year. So to me as a fan the philly game was basically the superb owl.
  16. I won’t argue the debacle of the Seattle game, that was the worst fluke collapse. As for the philly game it gut punched me just as bad because dogs or not both of those teams I believed they were going to be champions. They both caused a no sleep night of stewing followed by a week in a bitter funk.
  17. A few years back, I was in a one on one meeting with my new boss on a Friday afternoon. At the end we were casually discussing weekend plans and I said I planned on relaxing and watching football. She then began regaling me with her tale of her favorite football watching experience, how the 'hawks were behind and rallied and got the onside kick, etc etc. By the time she was done I looked down and realized I had ahold of the front of her desk in both hands in almost a death grip. I said as pleasantly as I could, with clenched teeth, "Yeah I remember that game." I really hated the loss to Tampa, but the Seattle and Philly ones were the worst ones for me personally.
  18. Can I ask why? I figure it isn't my money, he certainly is far better than our existing 3B options and makes us a better team in a division we can win. Hadn't really seen much of the anti-Turner camp so I was just honestly curious on your reasoning. Because of his age. I just cannot envision him living up to the contract he'll get. He's too old. If it takes a 3 year deal, I believe over 3 years Urias may very well amass more WAR than Turner. (if Urias were given the chance to be a starter at 3b, that is) I'd be fine with a 1 year deal but that's about it.
  19. I'm sorry to say it but I think he'll sign with Milwaukee because I don't want him to sign with Milwaukee.
  20. I'm glad to see they went back to any player can pitch. The other rule was just stupid and pointless.
  21. Tampa did play a great game today, no taking that away from them.
  22. First game=too long ago to be relevant. Two weeks ago, the key decisive plays were coaching or officiating gaffes mainly. I feel that the Packers lost to a team they should not have lost to that day.
  23. OSS I'm with you. I really think the Packers were the best team in the NFL even after losing Bahk. I feel almost cheated of this SB.
  24. I was bemoaning the fact that the Packers blew it in the conference championship against a Tampa Bay play they should have beaten, not debating what CBS ought show on their Superb Owl broadcast.
  25. I should be watching an introduction of the Green Bay Packers right now.
