  1. Once Saladino is back and Arcia is able to be sent down to try to figure out this whole hitting thing, I think it would be a good idea for them to have him just take a week off. He's as lost as anyone I've ever seen. Can't help feeling bad for the guy.
  2. Agreed. Hopefully we get some more insurance here, because with the way he's called this game, I fully expect Knebel to be squeezed in the 9th.
  3. Shuckers Drop Series Opener to Mobile, 9-4 Ray Delivers Biloxi's Second Inside-the-Park Home Run of the Year By Spencer Siegel Biloxi Box Score Biloxi Game Log In a rehab start, Wade Miley was peppered with 7 singles (all ground balls) and one line drive double, chasing him after 3.1 innings of work. The Shuckers bats got no hits after the 2nd inning. So, let's look at that 2nd inning (and Ray's little league home run) and move on. Biloxi Bottom of the 2nd Lucas Erceg doubles (13) on a ground ball to left fielder Zach Gibbons. Gabriel Noriega singles on a ground ball to center fielder Brennon Lund. Lucas Erceg scores. 4. Final: Chattanooga 5, Biloxi 4 Biloxi Box Score Biloxi Game Log Biloxi writers as of yet not forthcoming with the game write up. Hopefully the article sheds some light on how Shuckers pitching coach David Chavarria managed to get tossed from the game in the middle of Biloxi's 9th inning rally. Biloxi scored 3 to tie it up, but in the bottom of the 9th, Lookouts 2b Alex Perez reached on a 1 out single, and then was able to tag and advance to 2nd on a flyout to CF Troy Stokes Jr. That would prove costly as the Lookouts came up with a walk off single to snap Biloxi's 4 game winning streak. Summary article link will be added in the morning. Biloxi Top of the 9th Pitching Change: Todd Van Steensel replaces Andrew Vasquez. Jake Gatewood strikes out swinging. Lucas Erceg flies out to right fielder Jimmy Kerrigan. Blake Allemand walks. Luis Aviles Jr. walks. Blake Allemand to 2nd. Clint Coulter singles on a line drive to left fielder Brent Rooker. 5. I hope the coaches help Peralta with his bunting technique before he gets his fingers broken.
  6. I was wondering the same thing. He pitched in relief, and now today Boone DFA...
  7. I thought Chacin deserved the chance to clean up his own mess.
  8. Logan's splits are pretty darn good vs rh, abysmal vs lh. I guess I am having a hard time seeing value in having him on the team. In any case, CC using him today made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Disappointing, baffling, and there's no way to sugarcoat it...it was foolish.
  9. Yah because of the 2 camera angles they showed, you could either see the tag and try to guess where the hand was, or vice versa. Clear as mud, I thought the call would stand.
  10. I was hoping Arcia would begin to build on last night, his approach looked much better. But today, that strike 3....uff da
  11. In case any missed it, McCalvy threw a shoutout to BF.net for breaking the story.
  12. Finally saw this and tried to watch, but MLB has apparently wiped this from the internet.
  13. They learned that from Harry Caray. How many times must he have said "Therrrre's a drive!" on what turned out to be a routine fly ball.
  14. Wow. It's only going to take Guerra 36 pitches to get a CG shutout today.
  15. Game will be on MLBN tonight for all us out-of-market Brewer fans.
  16. So I was about to comment on how this topic is so hard to judge because so many players on the list are so marginal that your opinion can go either way. Then you state this opinion and reassure me that someone can be completely without a doubt wrong even in that environment. Will Smith has been beyond awful since we traded him. Even if all we got was 10 used balls which we threw in the trash we won that trade. Smith's bbref stats What? He was injured.
  17. That's something. I figured my thoughts, read the thread next and Plush has the same as me down the line for the Brewers in June. (Although, you're not likely to see me post the word "Cubbies.") Speaking of which, I have them 15-13 in June and us still holding the lead in the NL Central.
  18. It is time to kill some birds.

  20. BayBears Scratch Off Six in the Seventh to Claim Win Rijo and Stokes Jr. Homer in Loss By Garrett Greene A rough day on the bump for Biloxi pitchers all around. The Bay Bears recorded 14 hits and 11 walks off Shuckers pitching. I guess the one positive is, they kept it in the ballpark. Shuckers won the home run derby 2-0 yesterday so there's that.
