  1. I'll be totally fine with that so long as its not Adell or Kendall.
  2. So you want a pitcher? Lol BPA regardless of position always always always. Groome also had makeup concerns last year. I've read nothing but glowing reports on Gore.
  3. My recollection of Garza's free agency is that his marketability was severely hindered by draft pick compensation, which is why he signed with Milwaukee very close to the start of the season. Hopefully, someone else can confirm. I don't believe Garza had Type A status. You maybe thinking of Lohse.
  4. What I am most proud about is how our front office manages our payroll. Can't think of bad contract in the last 4 years that wasn't reared by Attanasio. Sure Braun is payed a lot, but one can argue it's fair market value for his production. Now in the future around 2019/2020 that argument can possibly be made. I wish we took a few more shots in F.A. on 1 year rebound guys, but overall have to be happy how this small market allocates its funds.
  5. Really think the only way we deal Braun is if a team is DYING for a bat to win now at the deadline. Curious if the Toles injury makes the Dodgers keep Bellinger at the ML level, and if he fails his first go around, especially against LHP it could force a move.
  6. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the Jo Adell pick. If that's the board I'd much rather take a chance on Baz, Faedo, or Haseley who seems to have more upside than people give him credit for. If that is the board come June I'm curious to see who you all would choose at 9.
  7. First Rickie Weeks and now Roache... I think we've learned our lesson now that wrist injuries are no joke.
  8. After Seid kicked the bucket he really left a legacy of abysmal drafts... Just can't do that as a small market ball club.
  9. You're gonna make me cry... What poem is that from? Is that James Joyce?
  10. Mixon would put our offense over the edge. Another late second rounder I like is Tanoh Kpassagnon dude has an insane body, but raw as hell.
  11. Yup waaaaaaaay to rich for our blood, but I really want to take advantage of the old rules while we still can.
  12. That's because you only hear about the ones that don't fail. One example of a recent "can't miss IP" that fell totally on his face stateside is Gustavo Cabrera for the Giants. We can't afford to miss on these guys if we go over budget because of the tax implications, and being a small market team. Frustrating to say the least, but life isn't fair.
  13. Reminds me of Joey Bat's resurgence in 2010. This gets me thinking though. You guys think Wladimir Balentien gets a shot now based on E.T.'s success (so far)?
  14. My guy is Austin Beck, but I'm a sucker for power/speed combo! Hopefully he can fall to us at 9, but I have read he could go as high as the top 5, maybe even top 3.
  15. Quite annoying tbh, but maybe I am being obstinate.
  16. I ignored this thread the first time, but honestly do what ever the hell makes you happy! If you wanna wear a hat that you think looks cool, or because you like the team or a player go nuts. Seriously I'm a die hard Brewers fan first, and a die hard baseball fan second. I got numerous other caps for MLB teams; like the Mariners (Timber Rattlers and Griffey), Orioles (Cal Ripken), Cleveland (Major League), LAD (wanted to be Benny the Jet Rodriguez), Boston (Survivor phase... jk haha) the list goes on and on. I plan on getting another MLB one in June as soon as a friend of mine is drafted by a team. Hopefully the Brewers! As long as it's not gang related I could give a crap. Do you man! I will say though a major pet peeve of mine for any sport... is going to a game, and wearing the gear of another team that's not even playing.
  17. You and me both! I'm incredibly high on Yadier, but just don't see it as realistic. Things change though... desperate times calls for desperate measures especially in what looks to be a competitive N.L. West. I'd also like a look at Lux as a possible lottery ticket if the high end talent isn't available.
  18. What is the motivation for other teams to deal those slots Eye Black?
  19. Don't believe so. Once it expires it's gone. Curious to see who is still out there, and who the brewers have their eye on.
  20. Seems like Arcia has picked up a variation of Aguilar's batting stance. Maybe they had a talk together about timing Venezuelan to Venezuelan, and that's the conclusion they came to.
  21. Is B.A. leaving for basketball tourneys the reason why the past handful of games haven't been broadcasted? I heard in the meantime that Rock is gonna be the play-by-play guy with Augie as the color man. God help us if that's the case, but I suppose anything is better than Craig Coshun *shutters.
  22. There was talk about Stearns offering Nelson for Anderson Espinoza when the Red Sox made the Drew Pomeranz trade. Maybe talks can resurface now. I agree that there is no chance in H E double hockey sticks Guerra nets us Groome or Devers, but maybe a somewhat young, controllable starter nets us a better than average package.
