    I think the ceiling is too high to deal for rentals of this caliber. I am fine selling high if that is what they think they are doing...I just think the value they got for these assets is poor. I really hope this one doesn't bite us. Overall I hated this deadline because we didn't even get a bat which was my primary hope. They really must think Frias will never lift the ball. I tend to agree the swing is ugly but there is better ways to use these assets.

    Need @Spencer Michaelisto come in and talk some sense or get the real scoop from a source. On paper this looks like a disaster. Frias could make us look like fools in the same division. Really hoping this is a good call by the front office to sell high. I had questions about it swing but to not get good players with actual control, just seems like a massive miss.

    I need someone to rationalize this return. If May had some control maybe I’d understand. Prospect niks are basically laughing at us and lauding the cardinals for the return. I think we could look very very stupid in a couple years.

    I do like him. It is the waters I wanted to swim in prospect capital wise. Both rentals. He has pitched quite well this year. Throws hard, elite extension, and has pretty disgusting stuff. His FIP is a run under his ERA. He has been getting a bit unlucky and the Brewers defense will help with that. I would guess we are gonna get him to ditch the 4 Seam. Throw the cutter and sinker. Still has a devastating sweeper. If anyone can unlock another gear it is Hooky.

    I vehemently disagree. He is more in line with a 70 OFV that still puts superstar in his range of outcomes. In addition he has a profile that is not likely to bust completely. Of course no one knows if he will ever reach his true ceiling, but he is likely to have some value for a big league club for the foreseeable future just based on his tools alone. To trade that away for anything less than a cost controlled, young superstar would be foolishness. The list is Griffin, Wood, McGonigle, Caminero, Kurtz, and possibly Skenes and McLean. (Almost all of which were top 5 prospects in the game with a similar FV) I think you are heavily discounting his ability and production relative to his age. Which is fine everyone is entitled to their opinion. Fact is the Brewers are only gonna have a superstar through scouting and development. They're most likely not getting one in a trade, and certainly not getting one in FA. Made is their best chance at that and I am hesitant to trade that away for a very good player. When in reality it's decently likely Made becomes a very good player himself with ceiling to grow.
