  1. Well, I found out I know very little about the Royals (they suck), and that there was an AMAZING abundance of offensive talent in 2005. I was torn between Jay Bruce and Justin Upton in the end. I'm going with Justin Upton, mostly because I am much more familiar with him and he has been pretty darn good. He's already a very good offensive player and looks to be a ++ defensive CF. And he's only 20! He's going to be a STUD.
  2. I'll take KC...then I have a question. Do I pick as if they have Gordon (like they do now) or as if none of these players are in the league now?
  3. I'm totally lost. What the hell does Horry Kow mean? If that is just a lame Harry Carey reference, then what is offensive?
  4. If I'm not mistaken it looks like you've quoted your own statement with Paul's and then proceeded to argue against yourself. That is amazing. Please explain this to me.
  5. Yeah, on a flyout you can walk to 1B if the ball is dropped. On a popout you may need to slightly jog. Realistically, the only way a batter gets doubled up in most situations like this is if he is one of those guys how pops up and heads straight to the dugout. He deserves it then.
  6. Yeah, don't do something that you enjoy! Find something to do only because you can do it! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I don't think you meant anything like this, but your post made me chuckle a bit when reading it. I'll say this, don't neglect a field that you might be interested in because you think it will be too difficult or demanding. College can get tough, but it isn't anything that no one has done before.
  7. It was GORGEOUS out today in central WI.
  8. Jeffress is dealing again through two innings. 1 hit and 4 Ks.
  9. Too young. You undervalue RW's defense, also. He is FAR from elite, but I would say he is approaching league average and still improving.
  10. Temple of Doom has always been my favorite. Maybe because we had the tape at home when I was younger and I watched it all the time. I'll have to watch the other two over again and reevaluate.
  11. LaPorta's recent struggles continue. He's hitting under .300 as of right now.
  12. I'm jacked to follow Jeffress's lines again. Great job tonight. Still, looking at that lineup he faced, if he had struggled I'd have been very concerned.
  13. The diference is that this guy can have the arms, core, and upper leg strength of other runners but be lighter due to his situation. That is certainly an advantage. He gets all the strength that the other runners do without all the weight.
  14. I'd like to hear an arguement against him. There isn't a player with better numbers right now.
  15. I like it and I wouldn't mind seeing designated games in which the DH is used at NL stadiums and the pitcher bats at AL stadiums during the games.
  16. So is Jeffress going to be on a tight pitch count or has he been "stretched out" somewhat already? Anyone know? Lots of pitches in the first. 3 Ks, 2BB, 1H 0R...effectively wild?
  17. The Brewers need to hold on to Zack Jackson. He won a Cy Young in 2013 in my MLB The Show game!!! The best is yet to come!!!!! Let's hope Difelice can be a steady and reliable reliever for a few weeks.
  18. Well, since he is under contract for this season a 7 year EXTENSION would be seven more years after this season. If they tear up this years contract it is a 6 year extension or just a 7 year deal. Ya?
  19. LaPorta goes 0-5. We should have traded him while his value was high!!!
  20. Even with buying out one year, they would likely be paying him 40 million + for his arby years alone. His 3 arby years and a free agency year would probably run them around 55 million. We took a risk, but if Braunie stays healthy this will save a BUNCH of money.
  21. Depends if it is actually a 7 year extension (which is what Hardicourt says) or a seven year deal that just includes this season. Either way, Braunie could have potentially cost us over 40 million for his 3 arbitration years alone. Buying out a FA year (maybe two) makes this a great deal.
  22. If this is just to announce the move of spring training to FL, I'll be greatly disappointed. Money's on Braun right now.
  23. To be honest my first thought was it would be an awesome name for an adult film. I'm really not as sick as this post may appear to make me.
  24. Actually you can measure vertical movement of pitches against gravity. So it doesn't technically rise, but vertical movement can be measured on fastballs.
  25. Looked like Captain Morgan to me. I was at that game...which section was this NMF?
