  1. I may be in the minority, but I am not at all worried about 3rd base. I think you'll see some combination of Ortiz and Hamilton there to start off with. Brock Wilken will likely start the season in Nashville, but I could envision a callup around June if he is performing well in AAA. We are going to be trotting out a young, deep, high upside starting rotation, with Woodruff as it's anchor. I would take that over some question at 3rd base, which we always seem to have a way of figuring out.
  2. Guys like Kyle Harrison with top of the rotation stuff don't grow on trees. He's young and has many years of control. You make this trade 10 out of 10 times from a Brewers perspective.
  3. A Brewers vs Mariners “first timer” World Series matchup would be such a beautiful thing. Seattle stayed alive by advancing, now we need to.
  4. I would pitch Peralta tonight in a hostile environment. Then if you need to go to Miz on Saturday you are doing it at home. The Brewers have to be better at hitting with men on base. That will do us in more than our pitching will I think.
  5. the Brewers need more steal attempts. Have we had one steal attempt in the first two games? Lockridge should be an automatic steal if he gets to first base.
  6. Season ain't over yet. He has plenty of time to make a critical managing error that will lead you to change your opinion.
  7. Chourio said he was fine, and the video I saw had him running to first base without favoring his leg. Having him DH would take advantage of his hitting, while not having the extra burden of playing the field. We need his bat in there if at all possible.
  8. Either that, or the DH him and play Yelich in the outfield.
  9. Interesting. I looked at the footage and came away with a completely different take. He didn’t seem to be favoring the leg at all, but also seemed like he wasn’t trying to push it. I’ll say he plays tomorrow based on that clip.
  10. Sounds like Chourio might be okay?!
  11. Another classic example of the Brewers' offensive struggles. Turang is standing on second base with nobody out and doesn't score. Just not good at all.
  12. Why can't we have one good game to close out the regular season? Have some pride men!
  13. Just too many failures with RISP. That feels like the big story for this team right now.
  14. For me, its hitting with RISP. I think our pitching will be fine, and we seem to be getting healthier there. If we can't get runners in on base, we are toast. This team will not out-slug the opponent. The other concern is Murphy getting conservative and not stealing bases with reckless abandon like we did during the regular season.
  15. There is just no fight in this team right now. Imagine being the Mets and having to root for this floundering team.. it would be maddening.
  16. Durbin has not been good lately. Lots of guys that have cooled considerably since August.
  17. Miz coming out of the bullpen in the playoffs is a terrible idea. Hard to believe he made the all-star team this year.
  18. Let’s hope the Twins can hang on because this team can’t do anything to help itself.
  19. The lack of offense has been brewing for a while now. This was a meaningful game tonight, and we were completely non-competitive at the plate. This team looks like a shell of its former self in August.
  20. Well, we have a very meaningful game for both sides on the last weekend of the regular season. Go Brewers!
  21. The Padres are one team that won’t be afraid to play us. 8 runs scored in 5 games against them.
  22. This team is going to meet the same fate that the last several Brewer teams have faced, which is a lack of consistent offense.
  23. I can’t remember a worse stretch for us offensively this year. Everything is a struggle right now.
