They either win games 3-1 with great pitching, or get blown out. they don't have the offense to beat teams 6-5. The void left by Adames is large, mostly in his leadership qualities. He seemed to be the bridge between the spanish speaking players and the non-spanish speaking players that I don't think we have this year. We all knew the team was going to have a big void at 3rd base that was never addressed in the offseason. Ortiz has given us next to zero production from SS, and the fill-in's in the outfield have been subpar. The team can probably be pretty good with all of their pitchers healthy and a legitimate bat at 3rd base. The question is, will that occur, and if so, when?
