  1. Any chance we stand completely pat at the deadline? Hard to pinpoint a compelling need for this team right now.
  2. The Brewers need to stop looking for.a third baseman and look for a shortstop at the deadline.
  3. No doubt. This would be a clear "go for it" move and very contrary to what they normally do. I am wondering if they could include some of their excess pitching to get this deal done.
  4. I know he will be highly sought after, but Eugenio Suarez is the one guy that I feel could put us over the top. It is really hard to scratch together 4-5 hits in an inning in the playoffs, you need boppers that can hit the ball out of the ballpark. Suarez is that guy for me, at a position of relative need.
  5. It’s amazing how Miz has completely changed the complexion of this team. All of his starts are must see TV and the fanbase and players seem totally reinvigorated.
  6. Hope Vaughn takes this opportunity and runs with it. Then you have some right handed and left handed thump coming off the bench in Hoskins and Bauers.
  7. Wow what a trade! These are types of moves that have been keeping the crew competitive for several years now. He’s clearly found another gear with the help of our highly competent pitching staff.
  8. It’s amazing how one pitcher can change the whole complexion of a team but Miz certainly seems to have done that.
  9. In only his second start in the big leagues, the Miz is already must-see TV. I can't remember another homegrown pitcher I have been this excited about. It certainly is a great time to be a Brewers fan.
  10. 6 1/2 games behind the Cubs, who appear to have a better team than us (certainly offensively). It will be interesting how hard we push for a wildcard spot or trade away veteran pieces and look forward to a very bright not-too-distant future.
  11. Brock Wilken is leading the Southern League in OPS and tied for the MiLB lead in HRs. He needs to get promoted to Nashville and see if he could help the big league club out this year yet. It would be nice to get that clarity before the trade deadline.
  12. It's still early, but this sure feels like a really good trade from our end.
  13. Bauers should be getting the lion’s share of the playing time in left field over Collins.
  14. This is a discussion about why the team is not exciting to watch this year. Would you be more excited if Wilken were playing 3rd base and Misiorowski was in the starting rotation? I bet there are several MLB teams that would have both of those players in the big leagues right now, why can't we be one of them? Pete Crow-Armstrong got a cup of coffee in the big leagues when he was 21, and is now considered one of the best young players in the game. Wilken will be 23 in June.
  15. I agree. For me, it’s knowing the roster has no chance competing for a championship as constructed. Couple that with not fully committing to a youth movement and having to watch a broken down Yelich play every night. We’re in no man’s land right now.
  16. Assuming we are sellers, our top trade options appear to be Peralta, Megill and Hoskins.
  17. We couldn’t pay Adames what he got, but it’s hard to quantify just how big his loss was to the team.
  18. I would take Henderson! My dad will be at Wednesday's game, and would be ecstatic over seeing Misiorowski if it happens. I can't help but dream about a starting rotation of Peralta, Miz, Patrick, Henderson, and maybe Woodruff next year if he were to stick around.
  19. Misiorowski last pitched on Thursday, and Tuesday's probable is listed as "undecided". Any chance of Misiorowski making his MLB debut that night? I ask only because I have tickets for that night!
  20. The Miz hit 103 mph today, time to call him up!
  21. I would love to see the team call up Brock Wilken and Misiorowski and let them play at the big league level for a while. We aren't going to contend with the Dodgers and the better NL teams with Caleb Durbin and Quinn Priester, so go with the high ceiling youngsters and see what happens. If we aren't in contention at the deadline, we sell and restock the farm system. If we are in contention, it likely means Wilken and Miz are playing well.
  22. That's where I am at too. I would add selling Yelich as well. He was a great player in his prime, but his best days are behind him and he probably deserves to play for a contender at this point.
  23. I would be totally fine if we brought up Wilken to be our everyday 3B and live with all of his mistakes. I don't think he'd be much worse than Durbin, and would also bring a power component and likely better defense. I just don't see this roster as a contender, and would prefer us to move towards a youth movement and be sellers at the deadline.
