  1. I haven't lost confidence in Stearns. However, he didn't have a good offseason and the farm system is ranked #29 out of 30. Thankfully, many of the offseason contracts are one year deals and we can mostly start over heading into 2021. The farm system has to improve, Stearns has been here since 2016 and that was one of the things he was going to focus on improving when he got here. It just hasn't happened so far.
  2. I would rather see Domingo Santana play right field than Jace Peterson, but that's just me.
  3. I am ready to see Bickford get a shot as well. He looked really good from what little we saw of him in spring training, and I would rather see our young guys continue to get chances. Two hours after I post this Bickford is called up. Ask and ye shall receive!

  5. I really hope we move Hader today. I feel like teams are more willing to give up prospects during the season when they are in the thick of a playoff chase. Hader's velocity is down this year, and his value will never be higher than it is right now. I ask the teams that are in on Hader for their best and final offer and go with the highest offer.
  6. While this is likely said in jest, halfway through the season the Brewers would currently receive a top ten draft pick (either 9th or 10th depending on tiebreaker with Reds). In this strange 60 game season finishing with an opportunity for a good draft pick wouldn’t be the worst consolation for missing the playoffs. I would gladly take a blockbuster trade involving Hader and a top 10 pick next year and call it a season.
  7. I would let teams know Hader is available and get the best prospect haul you can get. He seems less valuable to us now that we are using him in a one inning closer role. With more playoff spots available, I bet the price for Hader would be high.
  8. Makes sense to load up on college bats in a year where you likely lose a year of development. This seems like a pretty good haul for a minor league system desperate for an influx of talent.
  9. If Mitchell is pegged to be a leadoff guy, do we really need him to develop a ton of power? I mean Cain is an all-star and hits 10 home runs a year. I'm not worried about this kid's power at all.
  10. I would have to think he has a legit chance of being our #1 prospect out of the gate. What a steal to get a talent like him at 20!
  11. Smoak is a much better defender than Thames, and will strike out less. Overall, I like the addition.
  12. Trade Hader straight up for Gavin Lux, make Lux the every day 3rd baseman and don’t look back.
  13. Hard to get too bent out of shape for a 2 year deal, but this feels like an overpay to me.
  14. Really hoping Bickford also gets protected. His numbers were eye popping once he got healthy this year.
  15. I have no idea what options we have at SS, but I am ready to move on from Arcia. He is what he is, a .220 hitter that swings at everything and plays great defense. It is pretty clear his plate discipline isn't going to improve going forward.
  16. The season ended much the way it went all season long. We could get guys on base, but couldn't drive them in. Very dependent on the home run ball for offense. Too dependent. We had relievers who we could trust, and those we couldn't. If we got out to an early lead and our top relievers were available, we stood a good chance of winning that day. Our margin for error was very thin all season, as we saw play out last night. The roster needs improvement in many areas if we want to be a championship caliber team.
