  1. There is a big part of me that likes having the Rockies keep winning having us keep the pedal to the metal. I think the team relaxes just a little bit once they clinch the wild card, I like having that little bit of doubt in making the playoffs that is helping us keep our edge.
  2. Team has been gritty and resilient all season, need to dig deep and find a way to get this one.
  3. The offense needs to come through. We have our top bullpen lineup all available, another run or two could win this.
  4. Does Freddy come out for another inning? His stuff looks pretty electric tonight.
  5. A big advantage of doing a bullpen game is you can't prepare for one specific player. I would leave Peralta in there until he gets into trouble.
  6. I can't believe we are talking about Guerra attempting to get anyone out at this point. He's had a 6.00+ ERA in the second half and has looked pretty terrible his past several starts. I would much rather they go with Woodruff than Guerra at this point.
  7. It just feels like Counsell is setting himself up big time for criticism/second-guessing, hope this works out for us.
  8. I don't particularly care for this move. Anderson has a lifetime 2.67 ERA against the Cardinals. The only way I like it is if you start a BP guy (maybe Burnes?) and then insert Anderson after an inning or two. Maybe Counsell is doing this to help Anderson with his first inning woes.
  9. Just keep this close heading into next weekend and anything can happen. The Cubs are not playing at full strength and can be had this year I think. The Cardinals will likely be playing for a wild card berth next weekend and the Tigers will have likely folded up shop by then. The matchups next weekend certainly favor us.
  10. Let's go White Sox!!!!
  11. My vote would be Miley, getting 5 innings out of him would be ideal. I wouldn't be surprised if either Chacin or Gonzalez started that game, or have those other guys available out of the pen.
