  1. The Travis Shaw experiment at 2B needs to end now.
  2. We have a fully stocked bullpen today, get Guerra out of there.
  3. Why does this team look like a playoff contender one day and a little league team the next?
  4. Sooooo glad we didn't overpay for him. That is a huge haul for the Rays though.
  5. Burying a guy on a team trying to win a pennant seems counterproductive to me. I’d rather see Albers get DFA’ed and make better use of his spot.
  6. I don’t know if it is sustainable, but Miley’s stuff looked electric last night. He carved up a very solid Dodgers lineup and made it look easy. Maybe Stearns knows something we don’t by not adding a SP at the deadline.
  7. I like that we made moves but still kept the core of our farm system in tact. Well done Mr. Stearns!
  8. Time will tell if these moves will be good ones. Let's give it time to see if Moustakas, Soria, and Schoop put us over the top this year.
  9. Schoop was a 5 WAR player just a year ago, has played part of this season hurt. I think I like this move a lot and provides an offensive boost to the team. Terrific get for DS.
  10. I would think Gio would come pretty cheap given the circumstances, he would undoubtedly be an improvement over Miley.
  11. Well that terribly overrated player still has 20 bombs and 62 RBI for a terrible team. * shrug * And hits in one of the best pitcher friendly parks in all of baseball. I'm stoked to see him hit at Miller Park.
  12. I'm down with this move. I sort of hope we're done now actually, unless they have something in mind with dealing Shaw. This team should be a whole bunch of fun to watch.
  13. I think the Brewers would prefer that, too, but there has to be a #1 available, which may not be the case right now. Last year, the Brewers got a lousy break, losing Nelson too late in the year to deal for a replacement - I don't expect Stearns to get a guy, just because he's a pitcher, but I also doubt he's willing to risk a lack of depth in the rotation again. Suter is gone, Davies is a maybe, Miley has had health issues this year, and Guerra recently went down .... I don't care to see Jeremy Jeffress start a game in September again. It "feels" like a lateral move to me. Couldn't we insert Woodruff into the rotation and give us similar production to what Wheeler could? I I wish the club would give some of our younger guys more of a chance than what they are getting.
  14. Is Wheeler better than what we already have? Whose spot in the rotation would he take? I sort of hope we shoot for a #1 SP or stand pat with what we have.
  15. I'm ready for the Wade Miley experiment to be over with.
  16. Thames needs to start making contact quickly or I can no longer justify him being in the lineup.
  17. That didn't stop the Mets, Rays or Orioles from making moves. I think moves can and should happen well before the deadline to maximize our return on the field and hopefully in the W/L column.
  18. With a really tough road trip looming, I hope Stearns doesn't wait until Tuesday to make a move (if he does). Every game matters as we saw last year.
  19. I'm totally down with standing pat with what we have. If we wanted to add a bullpen arm, I wouldn't be opposed. Trading for Swarzak last year was a big shot in the arm to the team.
  20. Is Archer any better than what we have?
  21. No idea why he isn't starting. He would instantly be our #1 in my opinion. This team isn't going anywhere this year, would be nice to get a glimpse of the future rotation with him and Peralta. I'm sick of the way Counsell uses pitchers, with Burnes and Hader being at the top of the list.
  22. Just stick Burnes in the starting rotation and get it over with. He'd instantly be our #1.
