  1. This movie ***** me of my childhood memories and sense of hope. Before you waste your time seeing this horrific film let me describe what it feels like to watch it if you are a fan of the Original George Lucas Trilogy… You feel as if though you’re a 5 year old kid again and are gleefully playing with your Vintage Millennium Falcon Toy Ship, full of imagination and hope for the universe. Then Rian Johnson walks into the room. He grabs the ships out of your hand and opens the top bay doors. He proceeds to drop his drawers and piss into the toy a few feet in front of your face. You sit there stunned like THE DUDE in the Big Lebowski and simply mutter “Not in the Millennium Falcon, man!.” Then just when you think he is done, Rian turns around and takes an actual dump inside the Falcon. Rian mercifully exits the room. Despite feeling completely mortified and scarred by the experience, you gather yourself together and approach your cherished, childhood toy to assess the damages. Then, just as you start to get a new hope that the Falcon can somehow be cleaned up, Kathleen Kennedy and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Gang from Disney come into the room and start stomping the Falcon into smithereens like it’s a Friggin HOT DIGGITY DOG jamboree! Holding back tears at this point, The Horror just continues. Next, enter a bunch of innocent looking Porgs who are carrying torches of Wookie fur. They proceed to start the entire room on fire. Finally, you can’t bear it any longer and are forced to leave the premises. Then you spend the next 24-48 hours in a daze, questioning humanity, wondering how and why this happened and whether or not it could be fixed, undone or erased from existence. ???????????????????? It CAN NOT. It’s over. Everything you once loved about this franchise and the magic of it’s movie making is gone. Stick a fork in it and milk a green tit. STAR WARS is done.
  2. The first three commenters in the MLB TRADE RUMORS thread made me laugh pretty hard... gofishgofish Jungmann, there’s no need to feel down. card collector18 I said jungmann get the hell out of town MB923 Jungmann, there’s a place you can go I said Jungmann, when you can’t make The Show You can stay there, and I’m sure you will find Many ways to have a good time……..
  3. Rickie Weeks is also looking for a job. Let's get the "cover" band back together!!!!!!!
  4. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/01/brewers-release-taylor-jungmann-to-pursue-opportunity-in-japan.html Great 2011 Draft Brew Crew! http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/team/draft.jsp?c_id=mil&year=2011
  5. The Dodgers would rather face the Brewers than the Rockies in the NLDS.
  6. I just booked my flight to Phoenix on Oct 4th for the NL Wild Card Game!
  7. Now that Knebel has his "catastrophic" blown save out of his system, he is going to be lights out the rest of the season and the playoffs.
  8. I'll just take the time to rank the stadiums I've been to: 1. Petco Park (San Diego)- Love how it was designed to literally be PART of the downtown. 2. Wrigley Field (Chicago)- Love the neighborhood and the history. 3. Kaufman Stadium (Kansas City)- Love the fountains and the museums. 4. AT&T Park (San Fran)- Love the bay setting. 5. Miller Park (Milwaukee)- The House that Bud Build 6. Chase Field (Arizona)- This is a lot like Miller Park but with a Pool instead of a slide 7. PNC Park (Pittsburgh)- Great view of the city. 8. Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles)- Loved the history and the views. 9. Marlins Park (Miami)- The decor is a little gaudy but the rest of the stadium has futuristic feel to it. Also bobblehead museum was cool. 10. Comerica Park (Detroit)- This is an underrated Stadium with some nice features. 11. Great American Ballpark (Cincinnati)- Nothing special but view of the river. 12. Progressive Field (Cleveland)- Ditto sans river 13. Rogers Centre (Toronto)- Seems outdated. 14. Target Field (Minnesota)- Not too memorable 15. Busch Stadium (St. Louis)- You can see the Arch. But unfortuately the Cardinals as well. 16. Guaranteed Rate Field (Chicago)- Garbage
  9. I'm assuming the "classy" Cardinals will be willing to do this the last weekend of the regular series.
  10. Anyone know if the Brewers are letting Suter pitch deeper into this game or if they are doing another "bullpen" game tonight?
  11. Gray's stock was at a buy low point when he was traded this July and is likely to go up. Sonny could have been a Brewer for 2 seasons and we could have STILL have traded him the deadline before he's a FA and gotten as much or more than we gave up. Missed opportunity IMO.
  12. By all accounts ????? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/08/rosenthals-latest-blue-jays-white-sox-brewers-gray.html According to Ken Rosenthal's report, "the A’s would have accepted a package of other prospects from the Brewers" and the Brewers not wanting to include Brinson was not a deal breaker.
  13. So is the current rotation plan Anderson, Davies, Woodruff, Suter and 5th starter ? (either Garza, Guerra, Jungmann, etc.) It's a tough call for sure but I wouldn't be against giving Jungmann a crack at it. I think a young guy would be more motivated to pitch well to salvage his career at this point than an old guy who's salvaging the twilight of his. As a Brewer fan, I don't think I can stomach another Garza start this season. In hindsight, a Sonny Gray acquisition and the rotation depth it would have provided sure could have given the Brewers the couple of wins they are going to fall short of a playoff spot. Hopefully a young GM will learn from his mistake.
  14. Well when we miss a playoff spot this season by one or two games because Stearns refused to trade from our minor league depth, Brewer fans can at least take solace in the fact that the Brewers still have the 8th best farm system in baseball instead of say...the 15th.
  15. For a team like the Astros that have never won the World Series, they could probably care less if you told them they gave up too much "surplus value". History says that most likely only one of those prospects pans out as a major leaguer. In the meantime, the Astros just added a TOR arm with playoff experience to the best team in the AL. Trade makes a ton of sense for them, IMO. Definitely a "go for it" move and rightfully so.
  16. When is Brent Suter expected to be back from the DL if at all this season?
  17. Clayton Kershaw will likely still be on a rehab assignment so the Brewers should have the good fortune to miss him as well.
  18. Wow. According to Baseball America, OF Tyrone Taylor was the Brewers #2 overall prospect in 2014. He has gone from that to only receiving 1 vote in this. Quite the fall from prospect grace.
  19. 1. LHP JOSH HADER 2. OF LEWIS BRINSON 3. 1B JAKE GATEWOOD 4. 2B KESTON HIURA 5. RHP CORBIN BURNES 6. SS MAURICIO DUBON 7. OF MONTE HARRISON 8. RHP BRANDON WOODRUFF 9. OF COREY RAY 10. 3B LUCAS ERCEG 11. RHP LUIS ORTIZ 12. OF TRISTEN LUTZ 13. OF BRETT PHILLIPS 14. 2B ISAN DIAZ 15. RHP FREDDY PERALTA 16. RHP MARCOS DIPLAN 17. RHP PHIL BICKFORD 18. OF TRENT CLARK 19. OF DEMI ORIMOLOYE 20. LHP KODI MEDEIROS 21. RHP CODY PONCE 22. C JACOB NOTTINGHAM 23. RHP TAYLOR WILLIAMS 24. C KJ HARRISON 25. LHP NATHAN KIRBY 26. OF LARRY ERNESTO
  20. This is spot on. It would be the equivalant of the Brewers giving Ryan Braun to the Tigers (or another contending team) for basically free last August, just to rid the team of his contract. Just like Brewer fans still do, Tiger fans think Justin Verlander has more surplus value than he does and will expect something valuable in return if the Tigers trade him or else they would rather just keep him for nostalgic purposes.
  21. This is basically saying Hispanic/Latino lower income area vs. an African American lower income area? WOW. Just wow. But you are not "scared" to drive from the Caucasian wealthy areas (Brookfield, etc) to the Caucasian lower income area (West Allis/West Milwaukee) to see a game at Miller Park? Are there any nice hotels and shopping centers within walking distance from Miller Park? Answer: No I guess being drunk in a big parking lot shields us from all that.
  22. I agree that most other areas in the greater Phoenix area are much nicer, but to say Maryvale is terrible and the Stadium is a dumpster is just going way too far, IMO. Anyone traveling to AZ Spring Training for the first time and reading these threads may actually be afraid to travel to the "Ghetto" of Maryvale, which is beyond ridiculous to me.
  23. Yah, they are in a great geographical location now. Too bad Maryville is terrible and the stadium is a dumpster. I lived in neighboring Glendale a few years after Maryvale Stadium was built and worked at Maryvale in the ticket office for a season. It was my favorite Spring Training Stadium at the time and I visited every park. It is probably still in my Top 5 even with all the newer built ones since then. I love the outfield lawn and the area down the 1B line to seek autographs from players as they head to the locker room. Maryvale Baseball Stadium is like a young baseball fan's dream in my opinion. Also, you posters that visited in your rental cars and haven't actually lived in this area are making out Maryvale to be like Compton or something. I actually think it's pretty offensive actually to anyone who has actually lived in the area.
  24. Why? Starting pitching is absolutely the very least of the Brewers problems right now. Garza and Anderson are both nearly back, Suter has pitched very well, Nelson has been close to an ace, and Davies has been lights out for nearly two months. Giving up this kind of package for a position that there's absolutely no need makes zero sense whatsoever. Zach Davies lights out??? There are no words...
