  1. A loss tomorrow would leave the Brewers three games back with two months to go. How is that devastating?
  2. Yeah. Just don't get swept and they'll be fine.
  3. Are you referring to the series in which Hall went 4-17?
  4. It's ok, Jason Kendall will surely loft a ball somewhere.
  5. What the hell was Hall doing? Just gave up on it... Also if Yost lets Kendall hit this inning my keyboard may be in pieces.
  6. Gameday shows that pitch to Hart last inning both up and in. Awful call.
  7. Doesn't tell the whole story about Weeks. In 82 July PAs he's at .271/.366/.471
  8. Really, how many managers today would people say are good? I can't think of many. I don't like Ned, but some managers (Cecil Cooper for example) make Ned look like a HOFer.
  9. Generally how I feel. Also, I would think playing experience is much more important for a manager than a GM. Also, that makes me think of this flic from my childhood. http://theunnatural.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/little-big-league_220x320.jpg
  10. Hall has been struggling terribly--.693 OPS in the last 14 days. That said, the Brewers should go back to the platoon and Hall should start against lefties. It will be exciting, but I don't think this series is as big as many think, unless either team sweeps. If nobody sweeps the division will still be very close, and both teams will still be in a playoff spot.
  11. Wednesday nice seats from a friend-section 110 or something. Thursday standing room.
  12. Bill thinks Tejada runs "pretty good."
  13. The resurrection of Fernando Tatis is bizarre.
  14. He actually said Prince would be taking off on contact, or something to that extent, but the way he said it was a bit odd. One thing I notice about BA that bugs me is he'll say "Prince Fielder would be next" with nobody out and a guy on first. No, he willbe next, because teams get three outs in an inning. And Fondy, that was awesome.
  15. Players have "known" the ball was out, only to have it hit off the wall. Have you never seen this happen? And I'd much rather see a guy do a fist pump than stand there and stare at the ball. Braun did that last year in his homer against Lidge, and it was awesome, and it didn't show up the other team. Again, the posing isn't a big deal to me in general, but I just thought with the circumstances that he should have been running much sooner.
  16. If it was an out, he'd have looked equally as dumb as if it hit the wall.
  17. Good call. Gagne looked good again. That would be a huge boost if he could be effective the rest of the way.
  18. I agree there's a very good chance this broke the Cards' backs. They aren't as talented as the Brewers to begin with, and a three game lead is more than a slight edge. Awesome, awesome series.
  19. It was a generalization. Yeah, I know. I was just saying that my main point was the homer was a wall-scraper, and watching it fly this time could have hurt the team.
  20. I have a much bigger problem with the fact that it could have cost the team the game if the ball was a few feet shorter than the fact I think it's bush league. I do think it's bush league, but guys stare at homers all the time, so that's not the end of the world. Alright, yeah let's just agree to disagree. Amazing series.
  21. I took monster home runs to mean deep, and I'm pretty sure you knew he meant that too.
  22. I only knew it was out because of how Braun reacted. I was shocked when it wasn't at least halfway up the bleachers. Seriously elcaballo, have you never seen a guy do that only to have the ball hit the wall? It happens every year.
  23. When did the Brewers hit a monster blast tonight?
