  1. Yeah, totally kidding.
  2. This has been a fun stretch. BP actually has the Brewers at a 26% chance to take the division. I love that the Cubs aren't running away with it.
  3. I saw the movie at noon on Sunday, and as we were leaving the theater a young kid asked his dad if it was "still daytime." I thought that was pretty funny and appropriate.
  4. Rich Harden just isn't enough of a winner.
  5. Late to the party, but what a game! Weeks and Hall are coming around...
  6. Well that three game stretch is up to a 8 game stretch this time, so... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. They got Frederickson, Dykstra and three months of Linebrink if you're going to look at it that way. Not that Linebrink was anything great, but just trying to be fair.
  8. I definitely agree. The same thing has happened to me a few times. I instinctively shut off my radio to hear where the sirens are coming from.
  9. I guess it depends on how you define elite. I feel that his career numbers (2.86 ERA, 149 ERA+, 1.045 WHIP) are elite.
  10. The one from Friday on CC was pretty good. ALL THREE BIG PARK SWING IT I also hope they pitch to Pujols in most situations. I not a fan of IBBs.
  11. Street still has a good whip overall and a decent k/bb ratio. The numbers are pretty close to what he's done in his career. His last ten innings have been rough. I'd still be pretty pumped if the Brewers landed him.
  12. Yeah I agree. I'm just fine with blisters causing a guy to miss time. Hopefully their pen blows a game or two while he's out.
  13. I am destined to never know one of these.
  14. Heath Ledger was good as the Joker. But the "Oscar buzz" is based mostly on his untimely death. I disagree. I thought he was totally outstanding and the hype was totally warranted. Christian Bale was better in Newsies. His over the top gruffness while playing Batman gets annoying. I was really sick of listening to him talk. I was saying this after the first one too. My friends and I regularly bust out the "Someone like you! Someone who rattled the cages!" thing. Tiny, minute, itty bitty spoiler to follow: Two words: Pencil Scene. Outstanding!
  15. I'd be just fine with a split with both the Cards and Cubs. That means the Brewers would still be well within reach with two months to go.
  16. So the projection overall is low, but you don't see how they can project Weeks to meet it?
  17. BA was going on and on about how Yost reaffirmed Weeks as the starter. I hope that's the case, because I don't think it's realistic to expect Durham to keep playing over his head. That said, he's a nice player to have for sure, they didn't give up much for him and they only are paying half his salary. If he's used properly (start against tough righties, pinch hitting option ahead of Counsell) it's a solid addition.
  18. Fox Sports National Radio was discussing a report that the Brewers will acquire Street, and oohing and ahing over how good the Brewers will be. Of course they then said they were citing a report by Tom Haudricourt, so they're likely just behind a couple hours.
  19. That's actually a really good point about Taschner leaving the game Brewcrew. Hadn't thought of that.
  20. Even though I knew it wouldn't have been true, I still managed to see "Matt Cain" and get excited for about a nanosecond before I read the sentence as a whole. Thanks TLB. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  21. Is it even necessarily with Oakland? Could be Ford for someone else...?
  22. No way. Gamel alone is probably worth more than Street. The Brewers could get him without giving up Gamel.
