  1. Mmm hmm.
  2. I was sure the whole spiel last week was to make him unlikable in order to kick him off the show. Now they add him on full time? I'm not sure how that will work.
  3. Yeah, we actually saw how Michael put himself in position to be the manager at Scranton in the first place. I also agree that you can tell Michael doesn't care much for Andy, so Dwight won't be gone long at all.
  4. Great again. Highlights: -Jim smacking Dwight -Stanley laughing at Ryan -Andy and Michael on their sale -Andy's Oompa Loompa song
  5. No. Hughes is unproven in the majors, so that's way too risky of a trade.
  6. I'd be just fine with Hart, Weeks or Gross leading off.
  7. UW, I'm can't help but feel you're over-valuing what the Brewers would get for that offer. Hardy-Mench-Vargas might get Rios, but I don't see anyway they would get McGowan and League thrown on top of that.
  8. Endaround, there's one difference between Suppan and the players you've mentioned like Jenkins, Mench and Burrell. There are always teams in a playoff race that are looking to add a healthy arm. Hitters are more difficult to trade. I don't buy that if in a year or two the Brewers are looking to shed his contract that they won't be able to spin him off at the deadline to a contender with some injuries to a pitching staff.
  9. So the Brewers' offer is three years, 33 million? And is that a player option, or a club option? If it's a club option, it's a much better deal than 4 years/44 million.
  10. What is with our sudden obsession with overvalued, no-hit center fielders?
  11. Haren is also a very attractive option. He has less health issues than Harden. It would take a lot to get either one, obviously.
  12. So Brett, I assume that you'd trade Hall for Harden if not for the injury concerns? Because I'd have to think twice about it, even with his arm problems. Harden's awesome.
  13. That quote is just vintage Melvin. I love it.
  14. I usually see it in younger couples. It's fine that you're both in love, or that you want to be close to each other, but you're eating for crying out loud. And in a public place, no less. I'm all for affection or whatever, but I guess I like a little personal space when I eat.
  15. Couples who sit on the same side of the booth at restaurants.
  16. Geno, Cole Hamels has an extremely high ceiling. The Phillies wouldn't consider giving him up for a couple of struggling players. Would you trade Yo for anyone like Mench and Turnbow?
  17. They really could do better than Mench or Jenkins though. It will likely take a solid prospect along with Jenkins and maybe even another arm.
  18. It just doesn't seem like a Melvin move because he is selling low on both Mench and especially Turnbow. He may not have a choice though, because if Turnbow can't regain something close to his old form he won't have any value. I guess it's just a little underwhelming, but at least the Brewers are only on the hook for Lieber for one year.
  19. Heck... I'd do Jenkins and Lieber for Penny.
  20. There may be a time where Melvin should overpay though. I'm not necessarily saying this is it. Just a thought, mainly.
  21. Well McCalvy's latest update says that Melvin is not in conversations with any free agent.
  22. I was thinking that exact thing Splitter. If the Dodgers land Schmidt, that may make Penny expendable.
  23. If the Brewers somehow managed to land Schmidt, I really want no part of Lieber.
  24. This is at least more exciting then being mentioned as potential destinations for Matt Clement or Dave Roberts.
  25. I would love to add Murton. I'm hoping the Cubs sort of forget about him in their busy, overpriced off-season.
