    I know it's been said earlier in this thread, he'd be much more attractive if he played center. Apparently he doesn't want to.

    So are most here for going after Schmidt? Or is this just a "hypothetical?" For what he'll cost, his age, and his history of injury, I'm not sure I'd pursue him. Hasn't he had arm/shoulder problems?

    A-Rod's contract wouldn't be so bad, especially if the Yankees have to eat even more of it to trade him.

    The worst was when Granderson hit his home run and the announcer (I think it was Jon Miller?) said something to the effect of, "Most fans across the country are probably just wondering who this guy is!" How annoying, and I'm not even a Tigers fan. I can't wait until the Brewers make the playoffs and the announcers are marveling at the unknown that is Corey Hart or "Richie" Weeks.

    Yeah that's what they say, but if they were offered an established ace for him they'd take it in a second. There's no way they get an ace and two top-tier prospects.

    It is stupid because the Yankees fans are so dumb, but I don't get too upset over it. The guy is the highest-paid player in the league, so I'm not going to feel bad that he gets booed at home. Just goes to show how bad Yankees fans are though.

    Not to hijack this Branyan thread back to a playoff one, but Kotsay just had a pretty crazy inside-the-park homer. Hunter had a big miscue in center.

    Yesterday some dorky Yankees fan made a strike-out motion, and Tim McCarver simply said, "That fan's imitating an umpire! How about that?" Brutal. Which leads me to a different tangent. How annoying is it that Fox has to show close-ups of 20 different fans between each pitch? Do fans have no interest in what's going on on the field?

    This would be an "overpaid guy for an overpaid guy" type deal that seems plausible if Jenkins is going to be moved. Garcia is really, really not worth $10 mil though.

    Well Jim is returning to Scranton already, according to the preview for next week's episode. Like some others were saying, I'm glad that won't be dragging on any longer.

    Here's that patented Jenkins hot streak we've been waiting for! Could you imagine if he hit enough to bring him back next season? I'd love it, but I think brewerfan would turn upside down.
