  1. Ellis has a player option, so it will be two seasons. I saw someone put this on twitter. At this point, Ellis and Jennings have combined for the most missed shots of any two teammates in the NBA this season.
  2. This gets worse and worse. It's like a broken record for ten years.
  3. For some reason I watched that entire video with the sound still on.
  4. I was strongly considering picking UW to reach the Elite 8 anyway. I think I will now.
  5. Michael Hunt wrote a column saying Marquette and Wisconsin should both reach the Sweet 16. Then I see his picks: Vanderbilt in the Final Four.
  6. So Marquette and Wisconsin start 25 minutes apart. Great.
  7. Barkley is right. The NBA needs contraction. There is no point in trading one of Bogut, Ersan, LRMAM, Delfino, etc. Just blow the whole thing up. Nobody on the entire team should be held out of trade discussions. They need to acquire draft picks. Not convinced they'll ever do that with Kohl in charge, though.
  8. Eh, Wisconsin had a nice game against a top 25 team who was essentially playing a home game. They shouldn't be negatively affected at all. Marquette I suppose could have dropped out of a 3 seed.
  9. I've never seen a game swing like that before halftime.
  10. Mike Bruesewitz gives me stress.
  11. Not sure what to make of the article in general, but once again, awesome: Greinke noted that agents are already being pitched to him, including a recent call from a former teammate. "I knew what he wanted so I didn’t call back the first time," said Greinke. "Then he called a second time so I said, 'All right, I’ll answer it.' I knew what he wanted but we spent 20 minutes beating around the bush, talking nonsense, which with him I don’t mind it so much but that’s the annoying part. I knew what we were getting to. It just took forever to get to it."
  12. I'm definitely starting to get my hopes up. Crap.
  13. First reaction: Ryan Braun's hair is on the game.
  14. Yeah, all of Buzz's quotes about Gardner are great. There was one a while ago that was something like, "He played pretty well for a fat guy." I actually think he'll end up being their best post player in several years. He's already the best one they've had in the last five or so.
  15. Uecker might be annoyed, but he should certainly understand guys leaving to take #1 jobs. That will happen as long as he is here.
  16. I assume pun intended here? If so, nicely done.
  17. I like "Shyam Das is my homeboy."
  18. I'm willing to store the next urine sample of any player who's furious over this in my basement.
  19. The Kotsay in CF in that playoff game was a fatal offense. It was Yost-Shouse-Burrell bad.
  20. Hahah. Maybe it's just me, but I always notice the "Greinkeisms" in his interviews--the brutal honesty. His quote from the JS on the same topic: “It’s just more fun for me. It’s not anything taken too seriously at the moment. I liked a lot of guys in last year’s draft but the absolute amazing ones all got drafted before we got a chance.” Should be a fun few weeks with Jungmann and Bradley in camp....
  21. He's not a lame duck though; he has an option. They could just make his option year official or whatever, but I wouldn't want to give him any years past that yet.
  22. You'd think this would be Melvin's last deal? He's 60 years old. Roenicke, ugh. Let's see how things go this year, please?
  23. Great game. Berggren, Rob Wilson, and of course Jordan Taylor were big.
  24. They're playing well, but I'm so done with Mike Bruesewitz.
