  1. I love the Carsoup booth questions that could be answered by spending 5 seconds on Google.
  2. With Hardy, he had history of being an elite player. McGehee has had one good season in his entire professional career, and it was a couple years ago. Hardy also brought great defense. McGehee brings absolutely nothing if he isn't hitting. When you have two guys mashing at AAA who could play third here, it makes no sense to keep McGehee up right now.
  3. Ugh sorry but he's not getting hot. He's been terrible and happened to get a hit.
  4. Good to know I could beat the Brewers in ping pong.
  5. Ooh. I'm not sure about that one. Edit: Unless you're just referring to its affect on his baseball performance.
  6. Ha. I love FSN using a 10-second clip to make Gomez look like an All-Star in Minnesota. Whoa... It worked!
  7. Fixed. The Betancourt Experience is like a recurring nightmare.
  8. I could have gotten on board with trading Bogut if it got them the number 2 pick in some way. Derrick Williams is the only guy in this draft I'd build around, and I actually think the Timberwolves could really be good with Bogut. Rubio-Johnson-Beasley-Love-Bogut is a pretty exciting and formidable lineup. If the Bucks traded Bogut for #2, they could have done a number of things. Use #10 to sell off a bad contract or two and move back (but not take on someone like SJax). Keep #10 and draft another building block. Either way, and most importantly, the team would suck next year and get a high lottery pick in a much, much stronger draft than this one. It would be another bad year, but is 30-some wins really worse than 40-some? At least there'd be an end in sight, and some exciting young players with a start to seeing a real future. Instead, they're in 36 to 46-win purgatory. I have a buddy who's a Bills fan, and I make fun of him for always having a team who drafts 8-10. The Bucks are the Bills of the NBA.
  9. Going into NY without a lefty is even dumber than going there without calling up someone to DH.
  10. I do think the IBB is stupid. The others are defensible.
  11. Call up Gamel. And Green. And Boggs/Katin. DFA Kotsay. Demote McGehee. Send down Estrada or Dillard.
  12. I don't get the "Casey looks better" argument. He had like three games where he hit a few balls hard, and since then he's looked just as awful as before.
  13. Jackson shot 41.1% last year. 33.7% from three.
  14. Not saying Hellickson won't be great, just that he hasn't been this season.
  15. Hellickson has 5.76 k/9 and 3.52 BB/9. Both are mediocre.
  16. Here's why the save stat is so stupid, and managers are stupid in turn. I'm pretty sure Farnsworth gets a save here when he closes this out, which is certainly the only reason he's still in the game.
  17. I'm even less confident in the offense scoring off Hellickson and Price. Hellickson has been mediocre.
