Heard Goodell had back surgery pretty recently. Maybe he was jacked up on pain meds? Ha! He slurred a couple of times when announcing picks.

I've heard that about him too. From what we've been hearing, he's been pitching at a pretty high level again. Imo, he'd be worth the risk for this year, and I'm sure he'd be relatively cheap. Especially with the injury bug rearing it's head.

I disagree. It's definitely a double standard.

There's been other players over the years accused of domestic/sexual offenses before, yet they weren't shunned by the league. Why should Bauer be shunned? That's a complete double standard.

He was basically cleared of wrongdoing because evidence showed he was set up by 2 women trying to score a payday. So if all of us here found out about something you did wrong before, you'd be ok with everybody black ballingS you forever, ay? Even when you were cleared? No, you wouldn't. SMDH

With all of the injuries happening, I think they'd be fools not to sign Bauer asap.

I couldn't agree more. Most people nowadays seem to have forgotten that admitting their opinions turned out to be incorrect, or that they made a mistake, doesn't make them "weak". It's called being a mature adult.

I understand that. Personally though, I think he was being a little overvalued as a prospect even before his injury. I also wouldn't have signed him to that extension either. At least not until he showed more in the minors.

Agreed. Until maybe 3-4 years ago, I went to around 6-7 Brewer games a year, and 3-4 T-Rat games. I've only been to 1 Brewer game, and 3 T-Rat games since. Mainly because of the cost of going. Not in Appleton so much, but even they're starting to jack up the prices now.

It's because of 1 of the biggest problems here in America. Greed. It's the same thing with gas prices. I've seen gas go up $0.25 in a day, but we NEVER see gas prices go down the same amount in a day.

In today's world, records aren't always "factual". Just saying. Governments, businesses, people in general, etc, fudge records quite often.

I have a VERY difficult time believing Ohtani isn't mixed in with this. Ohtani isn't going to give his interpreter personal access to his $$$, to have free reign to gamble with. So Ohtani HAD to know this was going on.

It's fancy word play that can be understood in MANY different ways, which is the point, mostly. Difficult for teams to say the player wasn't playing well.
