  1. I would have to agree with Reed's summation, Inman, while still a decent prospect, is barely a top 200 guy, nothing compared to the Yos and such of MLB. Doug could have probably picked up a pretty big name using Parra and Escobar as centerpieces, but he's looking to build a few years of success, not 1-2.
  2. With absentee rules being so loose, it is quite easy to cheat in that way, especially for college students or if you work in a state other than where you live. I'm sure it's kind of easy to cheat in WI, all you need is a utility bill...my wife can fix one up for you in 5 minutes. Does anyone know what happens if you vote, and then another person claiming to be you shows up? Suppposedly, many times in high fraud areas, people watch the obits and send people to vote with that name and utility bill. I would much prefer a picture ID...it too can be faked, but at least it takes some skill.
  3. Aracko, what does "get it to kick" mean?
  4. Back when I was managing a store, I had a 22 year-old keyholder call and leave a message in tears, saying she had overslept, and her fiance took her car, and she did not have a way to come in...she left a message at my house at 7:15PM, thinking it was 7:15AM, and she called the store and just told me to erase the message, because "I sounded like an idiot". By the time I got home, hours later, I had forgotten, and before I hit delete after a few words, the sheer panic in her voice was priceless.
  5. We bought a $99 one at Wal Mart and it lasted 4 years. My wife bought a $20 one at a garage sale and it did the job last summer. We also have a old fashioned blade one that works nicely if the grass is not too long, but the wife hates it.
  6. I can't believe your bladder is that large.
  7. It is insanely easy to register in WI, and that's why there is often some "odd" results in the Milwaukee region, fraud is not difficult at all. If you go during a peak time, you might want to register ahead, but if you're there on a day off or whatever, I would not bother. Takes like 60 seconds.
  8. Compare Blanton's away numbers to Bush's total numbers, and they are very similar. He's a nice pitcher, but nothing like Haren, Johan, and so on.
  9. Complete nonsense. The Brewers have arguably 3 better rivalries now than they ever did in the AL, though the Twins one is a bit fabricated.
  10. $5M for a backup 3B? No. Unless you're just looking to spend money to spend it, Crede has no fit at all on the current team.
  11. Just let your agent know you are in no hurry, and you plan to look at many homes and maybe bid low to get a better deal. Any agent worth their license will be honored to serve you, and if they hesitate, ask them for a reference. I would also maybe try and find a newer agent, they will be hungry and very willing to help.
  12. Without a doubt, get an agent. The seller's agent works for the seller, and is under no obligation to tell you anything if you do not ask. Your guy/gal will look out for you and ask questions you may never think of. There's also a lot of rather attractive agents out there...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. The only thing I can think of is to tell the guards they are not allowed to shoot until the ball goes inside once. Stress passing, not dribbling...though you are probably already doing that.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Bernie, I just checked again...what does this reload link say or look like? I simply cannot find it, I'm afraid I'll be 0-1 forever!!
  15. Growing up, we got the WSJ every day, and I was amazed how weak it was when I saw the Chicago Tribunes and the like as an adult.
  16. I'll do soda/pop as well, as I hardly ever drink it anyway. I have never known anyone to have much luck for Lent, for anything serious at least.
  17. Robert, I don't see Crisp as a match, while a fine defensive CF, how many of those do you need? I see him as a well below average corner OF in case of injury. EDIT: Removed reference to Crisp hitting RH, he is a switch-hitter.
  18. Plasma, delivery, and bartending are the low skill things that come to mind right away. If you're willing to give up a night or two a week, especially Fri/Sat, you'll have no problem making $2K+ by May 1st.
  19. I can't believe they were still printing, as afternoon papers and extreme left papers both have faded fast and hard.
  20. Trade Ben and Chris for a SP and a reserve CF (and a prospect) would weaken the team considerably for '08. No chance of that.
  21. Sauveb is my hero.
  22. They would not give up Ellsbury and Lester in the same deal for Santana, they certainly are not doing it for Sheets. Theo understands the value of prospects, as they have a loaded farm system. They are in a position to be strong for 5-7 years.
  23. #4/5 rotation guy, or a lefty reliever. I agree he'll spend a while in the bigs. Those SP's toward the bottom of the rotation are making about $7-10M these days, so they are not to be dismissed, by any means.
  24. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but like many that come up, it might come up what, 2-3 times a year...and the other team could just as easily use it too.
