At UWEC, there was a guy who worked at Erberts and Gerberts who was in his mid 30's who was complaining one day in Poli Sci that he had to go to the dean and beg again because he was going to go again next semester, and he apparently had been going so long (his whole life, minus two years spent teaching), he needed special permission to register, a waiver. Of course, he had several degrees and a couple graduate ones as well. When I was a senior in HS, our English teacher, a first year teacher, told us one day he could barely handle the "daily grind" of teaching, and just wanted to go back to school. Sure enough, he quit at the end of the year, and I saw him on campus at UWEC 5 years later...I guess he was making it a career. As for the Whitewater guy, he is now famous, if he left, he's the idiot who went to school forever. It'd be tough to leave with that on your resume.
