  1. And yet, players can smoke if they so choose or consume alcohol. Baaaaaaaad example. And they can be prescribed pain killers which they can easily become addicted to. Why a natural plant is illegal I will never understand.
  2. I can't imagine Zagurski is here long. As soon as we get some SP reinforcements, Suter will take his spot in the bullpen. Also could see Houser or Lopez coming back up. I'm happy we made the move, it made sense to wait for Saladino though. Hopefully Saladino isn't done with his pre-injury hot streak. Yeah Zagurski is the ultimate mop-up RP. It's just a matter of time before Houser comes back up. Houser is too good to not be on this team full time. And hopefully Saladino doesn't have the same post ankle injury slump that Sogard had last year. Kind of similar situations (although Saladino is a much more talented player).
  3. Was excited to hear the news, then felt bad thinking of that video of his daughter last year. That's the business aspect of it. Hope he sticks on and succeeds with a team.
  4. From the great Toby H. Great news!!! Toby H @YouKnowAndThat Brice Turang has agreed to terms with the #Brewers. I have not seen what the bonus amount is yet, but it looks like the Brewers will indeed sign their #1 pick. 3:24 PM - 5 Jul 2018
  5. Sogard DFA'd Milwaukee Brewers ‏ @Brewers Following Following @Brewers More INF Tyler Saladino has been reinstated from the 10-day disabled list. INF Eric Sogard has been designated for assignment. The 40-man roster now stands at 39.
  6. Agreed, and that's why the Marlins can but a huge price tag on him. Contending teams like Boston, New York (play 1B & C), Seattle, Arizona, Milwaukee, etc. would be massively upgrading their team by adding Realmuto. There is no supply available of good all-around catchers. Marlins will dangle Realmuto like the Padres did Brad Hand and see if any team is willing to pay the price. Marlins are in the driver seat when it comes to Realmuto.
  7. If he isn't much of a drop off calling games and blocking pitches, bring him up. I dont want to add offense by subtracting defense and pitch calling.
  8. Yet he's much better than Jett Bandy and Andrew Susac. Not many teams have good catchers let alone back ups. If only we had a seemingly competent young catcher in AAA who could take over as starter and push Pina into that role of 'good backup catcher.' If only. My only guess is his defense could still use refinement. Kind of the typical catching prospect jargon.
  9. Miller's error and that dropped third strike cost Guerra around 20 pitches. Guerra has been lights out so far. Almost thinking that the sun/shadows are playing a big factor.

  11. 3-0 pop up from Shaw with a runner on 3rd and 1 out... This stuff stings.
  12. I will forever root for this guy to make it to the bigs. Love that name!
  13. Some of those projected trades are ridiculous. That Moose trade to the Braves may be the worst.
  14. Dozier, at least for the last two years, turns it on in the 2nd half of the year. 2016 he had 28HRs and an OPS of .990 in the 2nd half. Last year he hit 21HRs with an OPS of .985 in the second half. This isn't something I would like to bank on, but he literally becomes one of the best players in the second half.
  15. Miller Thames Aguilar Shaw Braun Pina Broxton Arcia
  16. As long as he sprints to the mound like Todd Coffey, I will be cool with this move.
  17. He's from Ohio too. Hope that has nothing to do with him being in the lineup tonight.
  18. The Twins somewhat do as well, but the Braves do for sure with Freeman, Inciarte (so-so hitter but can run), Markakis. Maybe just me, but I have a hard time believing this dude is in the majors for that long.
