  1. I think the Nationals are too stubborn to admit they should be sellers. I would love to have Daniel Murphy on the team.
  2. Agree 100% with the topic. With the SP prospects on the brink of hitting the majors, I don't want Hader in the rotation. I don't think he would be nearly as effective being a two-pitch pitcher, fastball probably sitting 91-93, and facing hitters multiple times. He's too valuable in the position that he's in. I also would keep Domingo for another year unless someone is trading based on his potential. He is the definition of sell-low: no thanks. I really think Domingo is closer to the 2017 version than this version. Of course, I'm not sure how to build his value if there isn't a spot for him to play. Overall, I agree with stay the course and build internally. The amount of controllable talent on this team is beyond encouraging.
  3. That's correct. Good point, completely forgot about that.
  4. Don't think this will affect the trade deadline in any way. Still have Guerra, Anderson, Chacin, Davies, Peralta, Woodruff, and potentially Burnes. I can't think of a scenario where Wilkerson will be starting again. Wilkerson, at best, will be the September mop-up guy.
  5. It will be interesting what this injury will do to his career. I hope he is still in the dugout for the remainder of the season.
  6. per Ken Rosenthal... Ken Rosenthal ‏ @Ken_Rosenthal Following Following @Ken_Rosenthal More #Brewers’ Suter has torn UCL, sources tell The Athletic. Likely Tommy John. 2:58 PM - 23 Jul 2018
  7. I think Medeiros is generally undervalued by many on here, at least in my opinion. I'm really high on him as well. He may end up in relief, but has the potential to be equally as filthy as Hader out of the bullpen in a similar multi-inning role. Over the last 2 years, he's finally started to be able to fully harness his incredible stuff. The results have been very good. Agree that he tends to be undervalued. It seems like he's been in the Brewers' farm system forever, yet he just turned 22. I would repeat him in AA again next year however. Not sure I want Medeiros to ever pitch in Colorado Springs.
  8. Nope for including Hiura, and Nope for including Burnes.
  9. Well said, and I agree with about everything that you said (I would trade Hiura+ for Realmuto though ) I'm also a 5 year forecaster as opposed to the "now is the time, next year is no guarantee" type fan. I want to have sustained success and not have that 3 year window of bust. I really like the way Stearns has approached everything so far.
  10. Chacin, Junior, and Anderson are not win now players.
  11. I would think that Realmuto would be willing to stay with Milwaukee. We should be competitive for the next 4+ years, and playing with one of his best friends in Yelich can't hurt the situation either.
  12. The Lutz hype was crazy high last year, but then he stumbled out of the gates to start A ball. I think it is time to be giddy about what this kid is doing right now. Future is bright with this one!
  13. Roch Kubatko @masnRoch Looks like the Machado trade to the #dodgers will go through. #orioles getting back 5 players. Told just some "final points to review" and that medical concerns have been "all but addressed." Not a deal-breaker. So stay tuned 5:22 PM - 18 Jul 2018
  14. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the degree of unfortunate tweets. Regardless the word choices are not acceptable to use.
  15. The point I was trying to make is he is using those words for name calling as opposed to saying he hates a certain group of people. IMO, this is not anywhere as bad as what Hader had tweeted.
  16. links? Also, is Trout also getting looked at for his twitter account? I saw something that he might be in the do do as well? Maybe I'm not sensitive enough, but people are getting a little carried away with these (not talking about Hader's tweets). Merrifield isn't spreading hate on a group of people or putting people down. These words were used a lot 5+ years ago. Trout is the same situation as Whit's.
  17. JT Realmuto for Hiura, Ortiz, Phillips, Ponce Dozier for Supak, Stokes Jr.
  18. 1) Vikings 2) Patriots 3) Cowboys 4) Seahawks 5) Panthers
  19. Man would Realmuto be nice right now. Go get Realmuto, Wheeler, and Dozier.
  20. I think the only known thing at this point is that Machado will be traded tomorrow. Seems like the Dodgers are in the lead, but Philly seems to be pretty motivated to get him (may be their only chance of signing him in the future). I have doubts that Stearns will be offering the top package, but like you said; who knows.
  21. It absolutely is. Add in the terrible contracts of Snell, Delly, and Henson, this isn't going to be a short term fix either. This team is in a tough predicament and I have absolutely no faith that they find a way out. Seems like 2020 will be the year for potential optimism.
  22. 1- Cain 2- Yelich 3- Machado 4- Jesus 5- Realmuto 6- Shaw 7- Braun 8- Pitcher 9- Dozier
  23. I have no problem with it as a basketball move. However, as others have said, to get no value out of the #2 overall pick after 4 years is a shame (regardless of the circumstances). It is a shame. Such high hopes of having our 1-2 punch for 10-15 years. I don't think things could have gone worse for Jabari since he's been a Buck. Between the injuries, bad coaching, and the mess of ownership. His defense optional mentality certainly never helped his situation. There was only a small window where the Bucks could have actually received anything of substance back though (after his 1st ACL tear). Time to move on however. It's probably best for both parties. The question is what's the next step?
  24. Not sure if it was you, but I know some had a topic about William's having "Roogy" type stats. I would've kept Williams in there too, but I don't see this as a black and white situation.
  25. And it will be from posters the same posters coming out if the woodwork.
