  1. The Brewers faced a different pitching staff in the postseason. Regular season featured one start by Yamamoto, one by Sheehan, 2 by Kershaw, and 2 by Glasnow. Zero by Ohtani. Glasnow's back-to-back starts against MKE in July were his first two after a three-month shoulder injury, so he wasn't as sharp or stretched out as he was in the playoffs. The relief corps the Dodgers used against Milwaukee during the regular season was Vesia, Trivino, Klein, Yates, Banda, Dreyer, Casparius, and Scott. These were the postseason starters: Yamamoto, Ohtani, Snell, and Glasnow. Add in Sasaki out of the BP for three games. That's 31.1 of the 36 innings in the playoffs.
  2. My MLB.TV says "Blackout" on the brewer game for tonight.
  3. I just learned that the start time is 7:10. I assumed 6:40. Thanks, Brewerfanatic!
  4. Imagine playing Gorman Thomas in CF today. I know he was injured in the series, but he had no ability to change direction because of his hamstrings. Ozzie Smith scoring from second on a sac fly to center is burned in my brain.
  5. 16-10 feels about right. I still remember the 5-game sweep by Pittsburgh going into the all-star break in 2018. So, to go into the ASB with a combo of a 5-game road series (STL) AND a trip to Pittsburgh in the same week makes me shudder.
  6. New month! The season is flying by. It's All-Star month already. Plus, today is my birthday and the Brewers are celebrating me with a baseball game and some fireworks afterward. You are all welcome to join me. Last month, four posters nailed the 17-10 prediction. Congrats to @ErnieRilesBrianGiles, @igor67, @long ball, and @Brewin. ErnieRiles will be forced to come off his consistent 17-10 prediction, since there are only 26 games this month. 2 CIN 3 @ ARI 5(!!!) @ STL 3 @ PGH ASB 3 MIA 3 NYM Off Day 3 COL 3 @ SF Off Day 1 @ LAA Go Brewers!
  7. Man, it's hard to remain optimistic lately. The team can't hit with RISP, can't score, guys slumping, pitchers not going deep enough, bullpen wearing out, and the only thing worse than Murph's back is his managing. That's why they are only...(checks schedule)...7-2 in their last nine games!!!!
  8. Guy of the Game Conqueror of the Contest Best of the Basepaths Excelsior of the Event Star of the Struggle Heart and Soul of the Head to Head Bat of the Battle (for a hitter) Royalty of the Rubber (for a pitcher) Or, better yet, just keep with Man of the Match.
  9. Apple TV guy: “Megill has re-established himself as the late-inning go-to guy” if only there was a baseball term for that role.
  10. This audio is really bad. Can barely hear the announcers over the crowd noise and it’s glitching like a bad zoom call
  11. Skenes gave up 4 runs in the second inning to the Reds. PGH has lost his last seven starts.
  12. There has to be something tricky with the batter’s eye and the time of day. 58 strikeouts between the two teams out of 126 outs.
  13. I think that is 5 backward Ks for Jake B in this series. Team has 27 strikeouts, 10 of them looking. Just awful
