  1. I'm back. It did not disappoint.
  2. I hadn't heard about the Cubs loss until the previous post. I am heading to the game thread on Northside Baseball to have a few minutes of enjoyment reading the euphoria of the early lead and subsequent meltdown. Yes, I'm that petty.
  3. My Cincinnati friends were taunting me when it was 8-0. Come on Brewers, help me out!
  4. Nice camera work on Turang’s double
  5. I was in NY over the weekend, so I followed the Seattle games online. It's real easy to be excited about this team. Made my first visit to this Yankee Stadium. Other than seeing Stanton hit a grand slam bomb, the experience was poor. Got there before the game started, by about 15 minutes. The lines to get through the metal detectors wound around the stadium. Got to our seats in the bottom of the 3rd. Long lines for concessions and for the bathroom. Concourse was jammed. I like to walk around a stadium when I visit for the first time. Had to give up. Plus, for most of the walk, you cannot see the field like you can in other parks. Paying for parking sure was easy, though. All $47 of it. Wanted to ask the guy in the Voit jersey how he felt about his purchase.
  6. Ashby? In Cincinnati? Hoo-boy. Prove me wrong, big guy.
  7. Setting up nicely for the Chourio walk off
  8. Thank you for saying what I was thinking and being nicer than I would have been.
  9. I want you all to know, I called that home run for Chourio, but I’m alone in my house so no one heard it. Not even the chair. I am so unreasonably excited about this young man
  10. This is an old-fashioned 3 hour+ pace. 1.5 hours, 4 innings.
  11. That home run leaderboard is looking mighty lean so far
  12. Some of these “Brewers” are unfamiliar to me.
  13. Freaking kids, always on their phones.
  14. I don't think they have accepted cash for years. I assumed they would still have the wayfinders that direct you to your row, otherwise it would still be the wild west finding a spot. So, no savings there. The "parking ambassadors" who help at the scanning posts are probably just a one-for-one swap with the people who scanned your ticket before you pulled in. I don't see how they are saving money at all. My hope is that I will get off the highway and into my spot more quickly than before because I don't have to stop and get scanned as I drive in. The waiting time previously spent in your car will be now perhaps be spent scanning your code, but at least traffic will move better. I think it sounds great. Hope it works out that way. They might have just thought that this was a better way for people to park, and not had any nefarious intent at all.
  15. My understanding is that their panels were closed. That was the only thing that kept it in the stadium.
  16. Gee, a shoulder...surely there won't be anything...anything...I mean, what's the worst--ah, screw it. Quick read of some articles just said "shoulder". Was it his throwing arm?
  17. My goodness, Trout hit a bomb last night. https://www.mlb.com/video/mike-trout-drills-a-473-foot-homer-run
  18. So you think they were trying to inhibit their growth with their approach? As in an organizational goal?
  19. Have you had Kwik Trip tenders? Soooo good.
  20. McNeil is covering for the fact that he lost the ball on the exchange before the contact.
