    Got a Phil Roof bat as a giveaway on Bat Day as a kid. Because of that, he has always had an outsized importance in my baseball memories. Don't remember him as a Jay. Great pull, I salute you.

    IGTs are more pleasant and shorter. In my opinion, IGTs are always shorter when the team is winning. Edit: What homer said, directly above me. I visit here daily, and usually multiple times a day. I am at least monitoring the IGTs, sometimes even more if I can't watch the game so I can get a sense of what's happening to an extent that is greater than following the gamecast online. I wish that threads didn't get hijacked. I know that my tendency is to want to police what gets said. I think I restrain myself almost all of the time. But my engagement goes down when, for example, an IGT becomes about Cheap Mark A instead of the game in front of us. There's already plenty of threads discussing payroll. I am glad the site is here, and as Zack Mayo said in An Officer and a Gentleman:

    Disagree. The first swing prompted my comment; once he got in his typical two-strike hole, the swing at strike three was a foregone conclusion. I hate having him bat 3rd.
