  1. I apparently cannot read. My bad
  2. Forgive me, but I'm not seeing the prediction here.
  3. Not a chance. The Packers have built a whole brand around the "Frozen Tundra". There is no way they sacrifice that. Zero chance of building a dome in Green Bay.
  4. Is there a chance he will not be on the roster after the regular season ends? Probably a good chance. If he makes the roster, it will be as a mop-up guy.
  5. Yes, they can still win their division but it’s not looking good. The Giants magic number to clinch is just 2 and they play the struggling Padres this weekend. Well, the Dodgers are playing the struggling Brewers this weekend too... The Brewers clinched by sweeping a team that was a playoff contender up until a week ago. They have had to play a scorching hot Cardinal team seven times in the last week and a half. The last two against the Cardinals are basically exhibition games. I wouldn't say the Brewers are struggling.
  6. Pitching rules the day once you get to the postseason. I expect the offense to do enough to win three relatively low-scoring games.
  7. I mean, he's not going to come out and say that they don't care. But right now the #1 goal is to go into next week rested and healthy.
  8. Pina should have hit there against the lefty! Come on, CC! Wake up out there! Uhh, if you haven't noticed, these are basically Spring Training games, and are being treated as such. For all we know, Pina is in the massage room right now.
  9. The Cardinals are annoying. I'm glad that this is likely the last we'll see of them for this season. (I know, I know .... let's cross that bridge if we get to it.)
  10. Me as well. Tho, maybe what they are hinting at here is all Starters will make the Bullpen? Interesting development for sure. Maybe they are going to go entirely match-up and short-leash based in Game 3? If they are ... it didn't work
  11. Kinda surprised they aren't riding Anderson a little deeper here. He's only at 61 pitches, and I'd be surprised if he makes the postseason roster.
  12. Well, he's got two more years with us to improve hopefully. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/milwaukee-brewers/jackie-bradley-jr-12166/ 2023 is basically a dummy year (mutual option). For all intents and purposes, it is a 2-year, $24 million deal. Bad enough, I know.
  13. That had to feel great for Keston! J.A. Happ is probably the Cardinals' #2 or #3 starter, depending on how you feel about the corpse of Jon Lester. Streak or not, they are not built for postseason success. Of course ... Devil Magic and such.
  14. Stearns probably has a good opinion of O.J. Simpson if that is his point of view. Equating a fluke, accidental injury to oneself to double murder. What the heck is wrong with you? It's stunningly ironic how a bunch of you are labeling Williams as someone with anger issues all the while your very reactions suggest you have a severe inability to cope properly with a setback to your favorite sports team. Ugly stuff. Ditto. You responded much diplomatically than I was going to, though. Thank you.
  15. He is a Brewer. Long term. And that makes me very happy. The question is whether they will install him as the primary 3B next year, or continue to move him around?
  16. Different circumstance. And also ... they didn't dump him. They got a lot of value in return. Which leads me to believe that his error in the WC game had nothing to do with him getting dealt.
  17. The NL Wild Card game is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 6. Scherzer and Buehler aren't scheduled to face the Brewers this weekend, unless the Dodgers throw either on Sunday if it a must-win for their division chances.
  18. I'm totally here for Hiura to go 3-4 with a HR today ... because baseball
  19. Milner was optioned
  20. This was my thought as well. And by potential option I mean something like 5-10% shot, but may as well see if he can make it a tougher decision in games that don't matter. It honestly may simply be a way for the Brewers to do Keston a favor and have him accompany the team out to Los Angeles so his mom can see him play.
  21. He's batting 6th and playing 1B today. Urias is getting the start at 2B, though, and leading off.
  22. I certainly didn't see that one coming. But I suppose we have four games that don't matter in the slightest, so why not? Wasn't the plan for Rowdy to come off the IL tomorrow, though?
  23. Are you honestly advocating for contracts that mirror one that is so widely panned and criticized/mocked that there's an actual "day" to celebrate its absurdity? I know you like to go trolling, but come on now!
  24. It all depends on how Williams recovers from the injury. The guy does things with the baseball that very few people are able to do. Will that change now that he needs surgery to fix broken bones in his pitching hand? That remains to be seen. Even if he comes back from injury fine, how can you trust him going forward? Nope, can't trade Hader this offseason now. So the guy makes a stupid mistake and punches a wall ... and now cannot be trusted under any circumstance going forward? Wow, tough crowd.
  25. Brett Anderson vs. J.A. Happ is a pretty gross pitching matchup all around. They are very similar pitchers at this point in their respective careers. The difference, of course, is that Anderson is very unlikely to even make the playoff roster for the Brewers, while Happ would likely start Game 2 or 3 of the NLDS, should the Cardinals advance that far (assuming Wainwright starts the Wild Card game).
