  1. Your exact words were "close to developing into a TOR starter". I don't think anyone would look at Priester's results as a 24-year-old last season and not think that he would be on a TOR trajectory. See, I read carefully.
  2. I don't think you will ever see it happen. Teams like having bullpen depth too much. That's why piggybacking rotations has always been just the theoretical concept.
  3. With how this team values defense, you are probably right. But at the same time, when most think the Brewers are going to zig, they zag. I wonder if the "Frelick to 3B" experiment continues over the next several weeks?
  4. Undoubtedly. It makes me want to follow the Big League Spring Training numbers of Brock Wilken, Cooper Pratt and Luke Adams (not to mention Jesus Made) a little closer as well.
  5. The biggest bummer is that we'll never see Caleb Durbin and Jett Williams as teammates. That pairing sounded like it would have been a lot of fun.
  6. He was the regular 3B in Nashville in 2023. Battled injury in both 2024 and 2025. At this point, his only path to Big League time may hedge on the ability to play 3B.
  7. Tyler Black. Brandon Lockridge has played some infield in the past. Eddys Leonard is a non-roster invite. Black has a pretty tremendous opportunity in front of him.
  8. Well, considering the Red Sox traded their super-duperstar for that "literally pure garbage" just seven months ago, that should tell you all you need to know.
  9. Suarez is the opposite of how the front office constructs rosters. He undoubtedly brings power, but tons of swing-and-miss, a low average, and bad defense (which at his age is only going to get worse). If Doug Melvin were still this team's GM, he's be exactly the type of player they'd be looking for. But that ship sailed a LONG time ago.
  10. I'd be extremely surprised if they acquire the big, burly power-hitting prototypical 3B type. Just isn't the way this team operates.
  11. 12 of the Brewers current Top 30 prospects are 3B-capable players. Only 3 are left handed pitchers. When you look at it in that context, it makes a lot of sense.
  12. December 1, 2021 Milwaukee Brewers traded CF Jackie Bradley Jr., SS David Hamilton and 3B Alex Binelas to Boston Red Sox for RF Hunter Renfroe. Welcome back Mr. Hamilton. I think, given the current makeup of the team, I would have preferred Binelas.
  13. Harrison is the headliner here. 24-year-old lefty with a Top 100 pedigree and mid 90s, top-of-the-rotation type stuff and years of control. I'm surprised the Red Sox gave up on him as soon as they did. But the Red Sox did give us Priester last year, so I don't have a ton of confidence in how they evaluate pitching talent.
  14. Makes sense. Harrison is a former Top 100 guy and was the main get in the Giants deal for Rafael Devers. Still only 24 years old. He's a pretty major get.
  15. Pretty slim pickings on the free agent front now. Ty France is still out there. Wilmer Flores, Ramon Urias, Adam Frazier, Tim Anderson, Luis Urias, and Gio Urshela are all utility types at this point in their careers.
  16. Projection systems hate the Brewers Water is also wet.
  17. Color me impressed.
  18. When I saw this trade floated yesterday, my immediate thought was "this makes too much sense not to happen." Williams is 100% a Brewer-type player ... versatile, good defender at multiple positions, very fast, good baserunner with a very high OBP, surprising pop, but short in stature. It will be very interesting to see if he is chosen as the "SS of the future", or if that honor goes to Cooper Pratt, who is quite the yin to Williams' yang both stature and playing-style wise. I expect that Williams will be in Milwaukee at some point this year. And the "little guy energy" the team will have with him, Durbin and Frelick will be fun to watch. Sproat is the type of high ceiling arm that the Brewers always seem to get the most out of. It wouldn't surprise me to see him make up much of Peralta's expected production as early as this season.
  19. I'd prefer getting up early on them, and piling on throughout. Something like 12-2 would be ideal. A dogfight would not be good for my blood pressure.
  20. What in the reverse psychology is this crap?
  21. Hoerner isn't bad, but Turang is a better player all around. Younger, significantly more power, better OPS. Both are good defensively, but Turang is probably more athletic. I think he has the edge.
