  1. Brewers need to do SOMETHING to spark this offense. At this point it's reaching "definition of insanity" levels. I don't know if I've ever seen the offense as a whole just go into a prolonged slump like this. Yet we just keep running the same group out there.
  2. Happy to see Joey back, but color me a little surprised that its Ortiz at 3B and Hamilton at SS.
  3. After watching Bunty and Bunty Jr. last night, along with Turang possibly being hurt, I'm on board with bringing up a kid or two. Yes, it may hamstring roster manipulation in the future, but as they have proven with moves like shuffling Bryse Wilson on and off the roster, they are pretty good at staying ahead of that. I think they are also at the point of having to tell Joey Ortiz to get his butt out to SS, or hit the IL.
  4. Sprained thumb apparently. Not sure how and when it happened. He played the whole game.
  5. My expectations were low, but this Bae guy sucks. I think I'm at the point of changing my tune and want to see one of the young guys brought up, roster flexibility be damned.
  6. Surfing through an IGT is akin to shopping at Walmart at 2 a.m. Yes, you will eventually find what you are looking for, but to get there, you're going to have to push through a few drunks, a handful of people in pajamas and fuzzy slippers, an old guy yelling at a teenage entry-level employee because his favorite brand of Metamucil was moved, and an overweight middle-aged dude riding a handicap scooter around with a dog inexplicably in the basket.
  7. Probably has more to do with Wilken currently hitting below the Uecker line, and Jett hitting the injured list again.
  8. Like it or not, this is the correct answer.
  9. Apples and oranges. Romero is recovering from appendicitis. And Peters did make the All-Star Game ... for the White Sox, who acquired him via waivers from the Rays, who earlier acquired him in a minor trade with the Giants ... who acquired him from the Brewers for Rosenthal. pertinent info that you failed to include.
  10. They obviously consider those guys important to their outfield depth. Hence why Rom was dropped to add Bae.
  11. So they aren't going to move a legit prospect up as a short term fix while sacrificing roster flexibility. Thats the way this team operates.
  12. Maybe, but adding a guy you don't have to just makes flexibility all that much tougher. They like having the flexibility churn the back part of it.
  13. You can't remove a player from the 40-man roster without exposing him to waivers. What is funny about that?
  14. Once again, it is 100% about roster flexibility. Once you add a prospect to the roster, he can't be removed without exposing him to waivers. They'd never do that with anyone actually valuable.
