  1. Rashan Gary is having a terrific game tonight. All kinds of disruptive. He's all power right now. When he adds a little finesse to his game, he's gonna be great.
  2. Guessing you played against Kamara?
  3. Lets see hot the offense responds now. If they go into hibernation ... not good.
  4. The Titans are a very good team. Them finally putting a drive together to score before the half isn't surprising in the least. The Packers played an excellent first half. They need to come out with the same type of intensity in the second half. A 3rd quarter lull isn't gonna do it tonight.
  5. Long game yet, but it's fun seeing a game plan being executed to perfection on both sides of the ball.
  6. For those who were wondering why they drafted Dillon, you are seeing it tonight. He's a beast.
  7. I got into an argument a few days ago with a Vikings fan. My argument was they should have taken Cesar Ruiz instead of Jefferson. Yeah, Jefferson is good. He's flashy. But that team is going to be trash as long as they continue to either miss on their line picks, or ignore the trenches entirely. Arguably a stud guard would have been better fit and bigger need than a #2 WR.
  8. Any attempt to humiliate the Minnesota Vikings is exempt from douche nozzleism. Yeah, if it’s the Vikings on the receiving end, the rules of engagement are pretty much always “terminate with extreme prejudice.” It would have been nice to guarantee better seeding, but Packers can take care of their own business. Unless it gets the Packers to the playoffs, I can’t really root for Minnesota under any other circumstances. I was initially hoping the Vikings would upset the Saints, but as soon as it was apparent that the Vikings (at least defensively) have already cashed their offseason checks, I wanted to see them demolished. What an embarrassing performance with the whole country watching! I really haven't heard much about Zimmer being on the hot seat, but perhaps he should be. I get that they've had some injuries, but he's supposedly a defensive mastermind, and that Vikings defense is utter garbage.
  9. I think it's more a case of people who don't particularly like a personnel move who would rather be proven correct (and subsequently see the team burn) than be proven incorrect and see the team hit on that move, contributing to the overall success of the team. If Love ends up being the team's next franchise QB, there are going to be thousands of fans who should be eating a huge helping of crow, but won't ever admit to it. Same thing to a lesser degree if the team hits on Dillon and Deguara. It appears they already have hit with some of the lower picks like Martin, Runyan, and even Scott is seeing bigger minutes now. Jury is still out of Stepaniak and Garvin. Hopefully they give Hanson another shot next summer as well.
  10. I don’t know how true this is. Most “experts” picked the Vikings to win the North. A ton complained about after our draft about how we did nothing to improve from last season. Let’s just put it this way, there are a lot of people that won’t own up to their lousy predictions. Name the improvements to the Packers from 2020 draft to the 2020 team? So far the biggest I would say is udfa Barnes. So still stands the draft class has not improved the 2020 team. AJ Dillon managed 5 snaps on offense after Williams left. 1 rush. That's not exactly showing much confidence by MLF towards using him. The impact Justin Jefferson has made for the Vikings his rookie year is I dont know 20? 40? 50? times more impact than GB's 2020 draft class on the 2020 team. Argument still immensely valid. In theory, good teams don't need to immediately fill holes with draft picks. I don't know if the Jefferson comparison holds any weight. He was drafted before the Packers' pick came up, and I'm not sure if you were watching yesterday, but that Vikings team is a dumpster fire. I mean, would you rather have the current team the Packers have right now that is in the driver's seat for the #1 seed, or have a team who is playing a bunch of talented rookies, but struggling to break .500? The point is many fans predicted that the apparent "lack" of immediate draft impact would spell doom for the 2020 team, and that prediction couldn't be further from the truth.
  11. I vividly remember reading this same idea often. In the summer of 2008. Needless to say .... nah LOL
  12. Vikings defense looks like it's already given up and gone home for the offseason. Frankly, take Dalvin Cook away, and that is a 2-win team.
  13. Right. Just putting the cost that the Nationals paid for Bell in perspective for those who think the Pirates are giving him away. They aren't. Crowe and Yean are very good prospects.
  14. Would you rather see Jenkins back at Guard or would you rather see him playing Tackle? I'm not sure that his future shouldn't be either Center or RT. In fact, I don't really get why he hasn't gotten more chances to play tackle beyond being forced into action due to multiple injuries. You'd think it was because he didn't have the measurables to play there, but he does. He's got long arms, a big enough frame. RT is the biggest weakness right now in my opinion on offense, it's just Rodgersr has covered it up in large part by moving and LaFleur has done a great job of knowing when to put a guy like Lewis out there or just chip with a back to help out Wagner or Turner, but neither one is really that good. Plus of course, it's a lot easier to find solid guards than it is tackles. Right now we've got Turner, Patrick, Stepaniak is back and on the 54 man...suggesting they like him. It'd be nice to see him be able to solidify himself as a Pro-Bowl caliber player out there and not have to worry about arguably the 2nd and 3rd most important positions on offense after QB for the foreseeable future. Because the team's goal has always been to get the best 5 on the field together, and it's obvious they believe that Wagner is better than Runyan right now.
  15. As a comparison, the Brewers' #3 and #6 ranked prospects are lefties Ethan Small and Aaron Ashby. Tough to find a easy comparison to Crowe and Yean. Someone like Zach Brown is probably a notch below Crowe. Brewers don't really have many young pitching prospects. Antoine Kelly maybe?
  16. Sounds like a younger, probably better version of Jace Peterson. I suppose it wouldn't take much.
  17. Internet (Frontier DSL - my only option) - $45/month Netflix - $13/month Hulu + Disney + - ESPN+ - $12/month Over the air network TV - free (I did buy a $45 antenna a couple years ago) We already get Amazon Prime for free shipping, so the viewing options are a bonus. Total is $70/month. Considering I previously was paying $160/month for a DISH Network/Frontier DSL internet package, we are seeing substantial savings. I live in an area where Spectrum is not offered, nor is any cable TV provider. I bought YouTubeTV last summer for the Brewers, then cancelled when the season was over. Summer before that I used Sling TV for Brewer games. Not sure what I'm going to do this year if Bally's doesn't figure something out. My options are limited to AT&T TV (I've tried it, and my internet speeds are not really good enough for it) or DirecTV. Guess we'll see what happens.
  18. MLB and the NBA are eventually going to have to step in here. What Sinclair is doing is a travesty for local sports fans. The Bucks have one of the top teams in the NBA, and unless they are playing on national TV, hardly anyone will be able to watch them. I guess Fox Sports Wisconsin is still on Spectrum cable and AT&T/DirecTV, but that's it. Sinclair, when they announced their partnership with the betting site Bally's, said they were working on an app that people would be able to download on Roku/Google/Amazon Fire Stick that would let them pay a subscription fee to watch their local sports, but I haven't seen anything yet, and the NBA season starts this week. Fact of the matter is, Sinclair is terrible. The faster the Brewers can get their TV rights away from that atrocious company, the better.
  19. This one has all the makings of a potential shootout. Packers offense is gonna have to show up for a whole game, and not just a couple quarters on Sunday.
  20. This. The product is stale, to say the least. Some people will try to sell me on rivalry games and winning conferences. It just doesn't appeal to me. If you really don't have a shot at winning in the end, what's the point? Same here. So sick of seeing the same 3 teams every year. But that isn't going to change as long as these 4 and 5 star recruits continue to flock to those programs, all for the opportunity to more than likely sit on the bench for 4 years, when they could be starting and often starring for other programs. I mean, Alabama loses their top WR, and it doesn't really matter, because there's 7 other 4 and 5 star guys sitting behind him.
  21. At the risk of getting political, I'm 100% convinced that this is ... well ... political. Pfizer did not accept Operation Warp Speed funding, and has been critical of certain politicians taking credit for the vaccine they developed. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Pfizer vaccine slowly phased out in the interest of the Moderna one, as Moderna played political ball much more favorably. Politicians are literally playing politics with people's lives and the economy now.
  22. For me too, then canceled out and then some by Singletary. Ugh. Oh well, here's to Rodgers to Tonyan going off tonight. Unfortunately that Rodgers to Tonyan connection disappeared, much like the effectiveness of the Packers offense as a whole. Tonyan ended up getting just above his projection, even with the TD. I mean, I'll take it, but it was looking like it might have been much more early.
  23. Does it really matter? No, not really. It's cool to say that your QB won the MVP. It's nice to see the national accolades match up with what we've seen watching every game week to week.
  24. That's what I see as well. I don't think that Moran is ever going to be a star, but he's a solid role player whose skill set is a solid fit for this lineup. If the choice is between getting a guy like Moran, or rolling with Urias at 3B going into 2021, I'd take Moran every time. I think he's the type of player who could hit 30 HRs and put up near an .800 OPS playing half his games at Miller Park.
  25. Worse than the Tampa game? Sheesh, no offense, but that sounds a tad entitled. Winning in the NFL, even against poor teams, is tough.
