  1. Coaching-wise, yes. That's where the improvement came from last year, and how I expect them to compete this year. Save for an injury to a key player (Rodgers, Jones, Adams, Clark), I expect this team to be firmly in the playoff hunt again. I think 10-6 or 11-5 is probably the sweet spot.
  2. How does a team that didn't really lose anything of note personnel wise in the offseason (besides maybe Bulaga) take a 6-game swing record-wise? And who are you saying are the 3rd and 4th best options? Allison and Kumerow? Graham? Those guys are very, very replaceable. I mean, I understand the idea that last year's team perhaps outperformed its talent level, but 7-9? Really?

  4. The Nationals are 3-5 in their last eight games. The Brewers are 4-4. Players like Brock Holt, while nice pieces for contenders, just don't really make that much of a difference overall.

  6. I don't know if Vogelbach should ever see an AB against a LH pitcher if they can help it. Maybe those can be Braun DH days, and let Taylor play CF.

  8. It’s crept into my mind that the Brewers were “cheating” to some degree. Reviewing video between innings has never been "cheating" per se, but the increased use of technology does seemingly toe that line.

  10. Yelich and Hiura putting lots of bad ABs on tape this year. I almost wonder if the lack of being able to go into the video room between at-bats is effecting these guys, especially Yelich. Both guys are swinging right through a lot of pitches they look like they should be destroying.

  12. Yep ... solid WR. Good size at 6'2", 200 lbs. Has a track record of solid play. Not sure why he fell out of favor last year after looking so good in 2018.

  14. He's such a talented hitter. He's guessing so much up there this year, though.
  15. I live up nort (Three Lakes/Eagle River area) and it would probably be pretty tough to find anything decent on the water for $200,000. Even vacant waterfront parcels are expensive. I can attest to the beauty of this area, though. If you can find something, you won't regret it.
  16. Does that also mean endless IGT posts about this being the worst lineup in MLB history? If Hiura strikes out in his first at bat I plan on suggesting to send him to Appleton. It does seem kinda like he Ks 3 times a game.
  17. Pretty sure his bio says "Global Moderator". Since he might be moderating from anywhere on the globe, who knows what time it is where he is? Where in the World is EyeBlack San Diego?
  18. Probably the biggest surprise "keep" so far, although he has been getting publicity the last few days as a potential roster surprise. He was on the practice squad last year, so he knows the system. At 6'2" and 225 lbs, he certainly looks the part of a typical Gute and Lafleur WR.
  19. Adams, Lazard, MVS, St. Brown = 4 Who am I missing in your calculation? Ervin? Yep ... he's been practicing with the WRs all camp. Already was known as a good receiver. I think that move is going to be permanent. He's a Swiss Army Knife type, though.
  20. Malik Turner gone now. Leaves 6 WRs on the roster, including Malik Taylor. He might be the surprise roster guy.
  21. I would think. Unless they are truly considering Ervin a WR, and they are comfortable with Adams, Lazard, MVS and a guy like Malik Turner to go with Ervin in the WR room.
