  1. Solid way to close out the Magic this afternoon. Middleton played well, which was nice to see. On to Round 2.
  2. Tonight's official lineup: 2B Urías LF Yelich DH Hiura 1B Smoak RF Braun C Narváez CF Gamel SS Arcia 3B Sogard (P Anderson) Because why would we want to play the guy that hit two bombs last night?
  3. My hope is that he will eventually realize that the lineup he is playing against lefties just has better hitters than the lineup typically playing against righties, and make it more universal.
  4. That is a nice package. A legit package. But I sorta think it's Gore or bust.
  5. Oh, no doubt. Because you can always base whether you win or lose a trade based off an extremely small sample size played during a miniaturized season during a pandemic! I liked Grisham last year as well, and was surprised when we dealt him. But I'm excited by Urias's future, and I don't think we've seen the last of Lauer as a useful piece of the puzzle, either. I think this is one of those overly emotional threads that was started in a fit of frustration. I think we're all guilty of that from time to time.
  6. Extremely talented actor who gave legendary performances in both "42" and "Black Panther". Had several other standout roles as well. Stunning that he filmed the bulk of his filmography while fighting colon cancer, and managed to keep the diagnosis a secret.
  7. Drew Rasmussen is fun. He looks like a guy that could very well have a big future with the Brewers.
  8. Terrible news. Hell of an actor, and seems like a great guy to boot. Loved him in "42" and "Black Panther". Also a really underrated part of "Draft Day". RIP.
  9. I don't know if giving up a pretty meaningless solo shot with an 8-run lead is gonna make me lose a lot of faith in the guy. He's been shaky recently, not "big 3" material... That title was thrown on him too early imo. Gave up the HR against these same Pirates last week. Gave up a run against the White Sox Aug. 3. That's it. Dude has been really good.
  10. If he isn't starting at 3B tomorrow, someone needs to lock Craig in the clubhouse.
  11. My oldest son is a 6th grader this year, and is running middle school Cross Country. He's got his first race on Thursday. He attended a race yesterday, but it was only for high school runners.
  12. I don't know if giving up a pretty meaningless solo shot with an 8-run lead is gonna make me lose a lot of faith in the guy.
  13. I kinda sorta dig the lineup tonight. Please don't let me down, hitters!
  14. I'm not really the type that typically wants to see a move simply to see a move, but this year I'm all for it. This roster needs a shake-up. This team has no personality right now. It needs an infusion of energy.
  15. I don't know if I'd call him light-hitting. Dude hit .401 at Rookie-level as an 18-year-old last year. I do not like that he's at least two years away, though.
  16. I think what he's saying is that Pina's season is likely over, along with his Brewer career more than likely. The team has to see what they have in Nottingham at some point, as this is his last option year, and Narvaez is here for at least the next few years.
  17. MacKenzie Gore has to headline that package, I would think.
  18. They are at home, so it's a matter of Nottingham making a 1 1/2 hour drive, if he's not already a part of the taxi squad.
  19. 30. Alec Bohm, 3B/1B (ETA: 2020) - 35.6 34. Spencer Howard, RHP (2020) - 40.3 87. Bryson Stott, SS (2022) - 21.6 Here are their 3 top 100 prospects. While Hader comes in at 56.4 on the trade value site, I think it would take Bohm and one of the other two players plus a lower level lottery type for the Brewers to consider it. At least that’s where I hope they are with this. How about Bohm (35.6), Howard (40.3) and Moniak (2.5)? I'm not greedy LOL. I've always liked Moniak as a toolsy CF who will eventually hit.
  20. Phillies are also a good match. I think a deal for Hader starts with Alec Bohm and Mickey Moniak, and probably one of their high-level pitchers.
  21. At this point, why not just bring up Keon Broxton to patrol CF? At least he's fun, if not frustrating to watch hit. This team just has no personality to speak of.
  22. Important to remember that Josh Lindblom is a also being paid a salary commensurate with that of a #4-5 starter/veteran long reliever. He was never being seen by the Brewers as a rotation savior, and we as fans need to remember that, and temper expectations accordingly.
