  1. George of the Roses on for the save opportunity for the Cubs.
  2. Knebel is having trouble with his command tonight. Hope he can wiggle out of it. Gotta get someone up if they aren't already.
  3. Yep, plenty of guys in the pen right now. No reason for a long leash.
  4. Because Cubs. Always because Cubs. Maddon and the enchanted horseshoe in his back pocket.
  5. Jaime Garcia pitching the 8th inning of a 3-2 Cubs lead. That bullpen is running on fumes right now.
  6. Always seems to be an easy grounder right at the infielder. I don't know why they bother calling it, especially with a fast runner like Arcia at 3rd.
  7. Arcia with two of the most unlikely hits you're ever gonna see.
  8. Ugh Pina ... shallow pop isn't gonna do it there. Big spot ... gotta come through.
  9. Domingo is starting to hit himself into consideration for more PT, and a postseason roster birth.
  10. It almost looks like one of those tattoo shirts you buy at Halloween.
  11. So many called third strikes. I mean, I love being patient at the plate, but the pitch recognition leaves a lot to be desired lately.
  12. I have the Brewers on TV, but Reds/Cubs on Gameday. All those zeros next to the Cubs look nice. Matt Harvey still finding a way to help us.
  13. I mean Arcia will hopefully give a better AB than Burnes. Plus Schoop hasn't looked too hot tonight Arcia hit the ball very hard. Just ask Archer's bum.
  14. Was very good in his first start. Couldn't command it tonight though. I would give him at least one more start, but they need to have someone like Woodruff or even Burnes prepared to step into the rotation if Gio falters. Don't know how they feel about Guerra going back into the rotation.
  15. Rodgers loves the slower-developing big play, but he has proven time and time again that he is at his best when they roll with the no-huddle quick-strike offense. It keeps the defense on its toes, makes substitutions difficult and tires them out quick. That's why you saw the Bears' pass rush rendered basically useless in the second half last Sunday, after dominating the first half. If Rodgers has one bad habit, it's using his mobility to run around in the pocket to try to create something out of nothing, rather than just throwing the ball away and living to see another day. It is both a blessing and a curse, as it has won games and caused both his collarbone injuries.
  16. They announced this game start change while the Brewers were still playing in Chicago, so it was more than a 36 hour notice. I was kind of surprised they didn't move the game start on Wednesday with MKE up to 1:20 to give them extra travel time to DC since they had to travel there and turn around and come back right away. Wednesday's game was on ESPN, so they couldn't move it. Otherwise I'm sure they would have.
  17. Or they could just swap Shaw and Braun in the order. I kinda have a feeling Braun is about to get red hot to close out the year. He's been hitting the ball on the screws lately.
  18. I think to stand a realistic shot at the division, the Brewers need to aim for 95 wins. That means going 11-4 to end the year. If they take the rest of their series 2-1, that is a 10-5 record. A few sweeps would obviously provide a little breathing room.
  19. Exactly. I too hope he's the 2018 version of Don Sutton, but I think there needs to be a little brake tapping on the ace savior talk. [sarcasm]Don Sutton has been pitching still? Maybe the Brewers should have just picked him up![/sarcasm] LOL, the 2018 version of the 1982 Don Sutton acquisition. Although Don did have a rubber arm ...
  20. I'd advocate throwing Washington @ Atlanta 6:35PM up on the list as well, as the Braves come into play regarding playoff seeding.
  21. The only way I am cheering for the Cardinals is if they are playing the Cubs, and a division championship is on the line for the Brewers. Otherwise I hope they don't win a game the rest of the year. There's just to much Cardinal-related heartbreak in the Brewers' history. As for the other games, go Reds, Astros and Giants! But like you mentioned Turbo, if the Brewers take care of business (actually as long as they don't stub their toe), they are in.
