  1. I'm going to take his coach's word over a grainy 20-second Zapruder style video of one practice that only showed Bahk slightly limping on his non-surgically repaired leg. I think it's likely that his muscles are sore from finally practicing hard last week for the first time in forever.
  2. I think I'd take Jordan Love ovr Justin Fields right now. And that isn't necessarily a complement for Love.
  3. He played regularly for the first week and a half of September. His September OPS is .402. He has 34 ABs this month with 5 hits, no HRs and 16 Ks. I mean, I want the guy to hit as much as anyone, but that type of performance gets most guys a ticket to the bench. In contrast, McCutchen has 47 ABs this month, with 9 hits, 3 HRs and 17 Ks. Not great numbers by any means, but I can see why he's playing over Keston right now.
  4. Keston went 0-5 with 3 Ks yesterday. Not really a great way to prove to management that you deserve to play. He isn't playing because he's ice cold right now.
  5. I lost one of the two leagues I'm in 104.30-104.02. Damn you Pete Carroll for totally ignoring the running game in the second half, even with a lead!
  6. All true. Zach Tom looks like the type of guy who is going to start in the NFL across multiple O-Line positions for the next decade+. There's no use delaying the inevitable. He's one of their top 5. I'd argue that even once Jenkins and Bahk are back, he should be pushing for playing time.
  7. Barnes is probably looking at an IR stint
  8. Runyan is in the concussion protocol. I think this move has much more to do with that, along with maintaining optimum depth with a guy that other teams were likely sniffing around
  9. I think the fact that he's unemployed is probably a mix of those negative splash plays combined with an inability to stay on the field or add much value as a special teamer. I would be surprised if he doesn't get another shot somewhere at some point this season, but your point is sound. He should be in the prime of his career, but he's on the outside looking in now.
  10. I don't know if I would characterize it as "went out of his way". I thought it was pretty obvious that McCalvy asked him that question directly, and he simply answered truthfully.
  11. Guy got a bad rap due to a few missed coverages at very inopportune times, but when healthy, he was often a solid NFL CB. I wasn't a huge fan of bringing him back last year due to the PTSD from those blown assignments, plus an inability throughout his career to stay healthy, but I understood why they did it.
  12. That just seems like an extremely pessimistic look at the team. They didn't have Bahk all season, and Jenkins missed a good chunk of the the year, and they were fine, so anything they add this year is a bonus. Also, this team hasn't missed a beat offensively when Adams has been hurt in the past. Yes, father time is undefeated, and it will eventually get Rodgers, but I didn't see anything on Sunday that indicated his physical skills were deteriorating. But its the NFL. Of course they could falter. But IMO, unless they have some sort of catastrophic injury issue, they are still the team to beat in the North. The Vikings have talent, but very rarely do new coaches come in and set the world on fire. And Kirk Cousins is still Kirk Cousins. The Bears and Lions, despite looking somewhat competitive in Week 1, I likely once again dumpster fires.
  13. Dak is going to likely be out at least a month with his thumb injury. The Cowboys playoff hopes take a pretty drastic hit with that.
  14. I sorta get the feeling this mirrors what your prediction is every year LOL This is a playoff team. They looked like crap yesterday. If they start 0-3, then be worried. But a one-game hiccup where they looked like they were playing a pre-season game for three quarters? Nah.
  15. bummer. I was just able to move Dobbins to an IR spot in one of my leagues, so it must be a league setting.
  16. His knee was trashed. Much more damage than a "typical" ACL tear. I am speculating, but I wonder if the surgery was botched as well. Regardless, I think he'll be back this month, and probably be fine. All this doom and gloom stuff about him not playing ever again is just drama.
  17. I always viewed Z as the more exciting, dynamic player, but Preston as more fundamentally sound and responsible. Z also plays with more physicality and reckless abandon that makes me think that he isn't going to be able to hold up health-wise long term. Preston, however, strikes me as a Sean Jones-type who will be able to play until he's in in mid to late 30s, simply because he is a smart, crafty player who tends to avoid situations where he's put in harm's way. Preston is an ideal 2nd fiddle pass rusher. Hopefully Gary takes the final small step he needs to be truly elite-level this year. He is certainly close.
  18. Eric Lauer has been scuffling lately, but overall he has been quite solid.
  19. I like the pitch clock and larger bases. Not really in favor of banning the shift. MLB hitters have gotten lazy and pull-happy as it is, and this is only going to make it worse IMO.
  20. Akers is a substantially more talented back on paper. Henderson is really just a guy. But none of that may matter, as the Rams offensive line looked terrible last night.
  21. I started him in one of my leagues this week as well. Tough break. No one saw it coming, either, as he's been hyped at their lead back for months. At least Allen is my QB in the league I started Akers in, so not all is lost yet.
  22. May want to check your league settings. Most Yahoo leagues let you put a guy in an IR spot once he's ruled out.
  23. Do you play in a league that runs free agency right up until gametime? You could stash Kittle in an IR spot once he's ruled out, and grab a quick replacement before kickoff.
  24. In other news .... Kyle Freeland has thrown 22 pitches and has four Ks through two innings. That almost doesn't seem possible. Gosh this team is absolutely atrocious against lefty pitching.
  25. I'm guessing it's because it was the type of ongoing "never dead" thread that Brock hates. Cain's comments are certainly a much different topic than him being DFA'd for Jonathan Davis months ago.
