  1. Why? The unearned run? Knebel not even to 20 pitches yet. Barring more trouble, he will be available tomorrow. Well... There's the more trouble. This team doesn't go anywhere if Knebel doesn't figure it out. Gotta roll with him. Pen is good without him ... can be great with him pitching good.
  2. Yep, great way to follow that crapburger they grilled up yesterday.
  3. I would but no safety net behind him. I bet Barnes pitches, then goes down tomorrow.
  4. Shaw! Atta boy. Too bad the team doesn't have a sacrificial lamb in the pen right now. Would like to save Knebel. Maybe let Jennings pitch the 9th?
  5. See Villar kicking around the dugout wearing his glove. I wonder if he is close to coming off the DL?
  6. I don't think anyone really has "jobs" in that pen, besides Knebel. You are just as likely to see Jeffress in the 6th as you are in the 8th. I'm sure Soria will slot in the same way. Matchups and leverage outs
  7. Never thought I'd say this, but I miss Villar's defense at 2B.
  8. Burning through Burnes, Hader and Jeffress tonight. I hope Soria and Albers show up ready to pitch tomorrow.
  9. Seriously Thames. Can you ever lay off a pitch at your eyeballs?
  10. Or he just saw the pitch well and got a hit - I agree with the assessment of his tenuous at best position on the Active roster, but it's silly to think the only reason guys get hits is because they are about to get cut. Sorry, I guess I should have put that in blue. Kinda thought it was obvious.
  11. Arcia put a nice swing on that ball. Never thought I'd be this happy about a line-out. Baby steps I guess.
  12. Kratz must see the writing on the wall. His spot on the 25-man is getting close to precarious.
  13. Ryan Braun becoming Ryan Braun again would be the best deadline acquisition this team could make.
  14. I know you do. Even if they don't go that route, this will still be a fun team to watch through the rest of the season. Would be pretty fun to see what they team could do with an actual sustainable offense though.
  15. I remember arguing with several people this spring that the Brewers wouldn't have a lot of regression candidates. I was wrong. Dead wrong. Besides Aguilar, every bat from the 2017 lineup has regressed. It has created a lot of holes in the lineup that weren't anticipated. That's why you don't burn assets on rentals to try and fix this. Disagree. Even with the holes in the lineup, this team is a playoff contender. Plug the holes, and who knows?
  16. Thames started in LF. I imagine it's because RF in this park can get a little rough.

  18. If Saladino (or anyone else capable of playing short) isn't going to hit anyway, then we might as well have the glove out there. Getting a 2B who isn't an offense black hole would go a long way toward covering for Arcia's lack of offense this year. There aren't a lot of SS options on the market that are going to provide decent offense. 2B seems much more stacked.
  19. Gatewood is in Milwaukee getting his knee checked out. Not looking good. Doubt he's going to be in an deal.
  20. Yeah, I appreciate his passion for the Brewers, but if you aren’t a reporter you better be 100% certain before you spread news relating to player transactions. If he wants to write about the Brewers, fine. But "breaking" news is clearly not his bag. His click-baity factually incorrect headlines last week really irked me.
  21. Another short start ... awesome! Any other relievers out there we can go get?
