  1. Guerra has pitched pretty great lately. He's made down performances from Anderson and Davies more easy to stomach.
  2. Spot.On. If the Brewers have a legit shot of making it to a World Series this season, you make the moves to solidify that shot. If you have good leadership in place, you have faith that they will be able to restock the farm system and keep a quality team on the field in future years. I'd gladly trade away a bunch of our top prospects for a World Series shot. Very gladly.
  3. Or we can just keep riding Villar, who hasn't been bad both offensively and defensively.
  4. Do you think it might be possible to lay off the "Suter sux 'cause he doesn't throw the ghas!!!" rhetoric today? He will more than likely give up a couple early runs, but give the team 5-6 solid innings.
  5. Sogard will poke two singles through today, and it will buy him another month of roster time and frequent starts.
  6. Replace Braun with Santana and that is not a bad lineup. Braun should be a start every once in awhile player right now in his career. Braun is going to get every start against lefties. Guaranteed.
  7. Cain Yelich Braun Aguilar Shaw Perez Saladino Kratz Anderson Regardless of how cold Braun is, he should be starting against ALL lefties. He has murdered lefties in his career.
  8. It’s nearly a must win when those guys pitch multiple innings. Now we need a complete game from Chase to get things back in order. I'd take a strong 7 innings from Chase tomorrow, and let Houser finish out the 9-1 win
  9. Despite a blown save from Knebel tonight, I have to say that it sure is nice having a lights-out pen. Not worried about Knebel, either. His velocity is great, and he's looked good since coming off the DL. Just lost his command tonight. Still a great weapon at the back end of the pen.
  10. Nice poke by Yelich. Would have been an interesting send to see if Sogard could get home.
  11. Getting to grounders to his sides has improved so much. He used to be so bad stopping balls. The guy is a spectacular athlete. There was really no reason for him to be a hack out in RF in the first place. He's fast and has a huge arm. I guess he just needed the agility and instincts to catch up.
  12. I have to admit, Domingo has improved greatly defensively. I didn't see that coming.
  13. Leadoff double, and bad fundamentals let them off the hook. Santana not protecting the plate, and Shaw having a brain fart on the bases. Man, this team is frustrating to watch sometimes.
  14. His track record of 39 saves last year? Or is it the 1.78 ERA last year that says that? Come on man. Yeah, he didn't have it tonight, but that is a pretty big stretch for an "I told you so." Pretty sure he was referring to this years results 10 appearances total, with a 5-week injury absence in between? I sure hope not.
