    44 pitches through 3 innings. May has done a nice job reeling in his pitch count.

    Too many pitches, but otherwise May looked good. Absolutely nasty movement, and hitting 99 on the gun.

    We have one in Yelich. Made his MLB debut at a young age. Athletic. Solid but not superstar numbers in Florida. Slow build before a minor break out at 24 years old, followed by a superhuman breakout at 26.

    Have to say, its hard not to root for a guy who brings this kind of aura to the park.

    PCA is also two full years older than Chourio. Gotta remember that Jackson is still at an age that most players are still in AA or AAA. There is a lot of growth potential there.

    I think a lot of Brewers fans are, and rightfully so. Especially when we hear the national "Brewers are ruining baseball" crap from the talking heads, only to find out that, value-wise, the Brewers did, in fact, stick their neck out and put together an offer that many believe blew the Dodgers package out of the water.

    There is nothing stopping Scott Harris from shipping off Luis Pena and the other Top 100 prospects garnered in the deal for high-end established pitching that is much more of a sure thing than a 28-year-old non-prospect coming off TJ surgery in the off-season.

    It isn't as simple as that. Smart organizations stack value, regardless of position.

    A salary cap isn't a cure-all. Teams still need to be run well. The Vikings and Lions have been run like dumpster fires for decades. The main argument is that the teams that ARE run well, such as the Milwaukee Brewers, still cannot compete in the current environment. And looking at which teams have eliminated the Brewers from the playoffs for the last decade, that has the basis of a strong argument.

    And the prized "young pitching" they added is literally older than anybody in their core of hitters. And coming off TJ surgery.

    Maybe. We likely won't know that until a few years down the road. I hate giving up on potential. Especially to a division rival.

    Packers have two in the last 30 years. Since 2>0, that would be better odds ;)

    Wisconsin sports talk radio isn't exactly a bastion of Milwaukee Brewers organizational knowledge. If it isn't Packers or Giannis related, they by and large don't care.

    That's more a indictment of the Cardinals system not being very good.

    Here's hoping those two are the next Lewis Brinson and Monte Harrison. The Brewers simply can't afford for them to hit for a division rival.

    I don't know if I can think of anyone here who was ok with Henderson going back in a deal for Skubal. In fact, most were quite vocally adamantly against the idea.

    Woulda got an extra pick in the 2027 draft after Freddy signed a FA deal too.

    19-10 Going to see a lot of low-scoring games with Harrison back and May inserted into the rotation. The more I look at May's numbers, the more it appears that he's a perfect fit for this team. Hopefully we will see the offense come alive.

    Unfortunately I just haven't seen any high-end bats that were available this year. Even the few power bats who have been dealt have big-time warts.

    LHP Mark Manfredi and SS Juan Martinez. So not bad.
