  1. Packers saying, "Nah, you guys should win." To the bears.
  2. I was about to type out that holding call should have been a personal foul facemask.
  3. Or just let them run right up the middle.
  4. Even if they'd tied it they'd need to score again. MUST hold Chicago and get the ball back.
  5. I think this offensive line is a touch overrated. Constant pressure from Chicago's front 4.
  6. I'm tired of watching guys running sideways. Kraft just needs to run straight ahead with some force and he'd have a chance at driving towards the first down. But no.
  7. This is a very loseable game.
  8. That fooled absolutely nobody.
  9. I think teams might be feeling less anxious about it given recent play the last couple weeks.
  10. That aged nearly 5 minutes.
  11. I'm going to lose my mind the next dumb fumble we allow. Especially after interceptions.
  12. Packers are dominating statistically, the fumble and punt return are all the Bears have. I might err on the side of caution and keep Love on the bench unless absolutely necessary.
  13. I did a very perfunctory scan of sack leaders and what stood out to me is that the AFC is absolutely stacked with defensive ends at the top of the sack rankings. I was only focusing on defensive ends since that's Gary's position. When I separated out just the NFC sack leaders there were only 4 other DEs that ranked higher than Gary. One was Nick Bosa who made the Pro Bowl) and one was Aiden Hutchenson but everyone knows the story of his injury. I think it just came down to lack of stand out players in the NFC and whatever impression coaches and players around the league who submitted votes have of Gary. People can argue other peripheral stats and their meanings but let's be real, these guys are most likely looking at sacks and even if Gary is a couple sacks behind a couple other guys he's still close enough where that might be overlooked against whatever his reputation within the league is.
  14. That's what the Vikings do. But it also makes the Packers performance today look worse
  15. I think it comes from the games where they (Minn) barely win against a bad Jaguars team 12-7 with Mac Jones at QB, have trouble against the Bears in a 30-27 game in the Eberfleus mangled clock management game and have to make a comeback to edge the Cardinals 23-22 at home.
  16. I think it was just because the crossing took place at night and it took time to organize everyone. According to Wikipedia the artillery didn't finish crossing until 3 am so the army didn't start marching until 4 am.
  17. 3 of the last 4 Packers wins have come against 2 backup QBs that played a whole game and the 3rd where the backup took over halfway through the 3rd quarter. And they had lulls in offensive effectiveness that was basically ignored by everyone because those games were easy wins.
  18. Since we're focusing on facts, Washington was attacking Hessian (German) mercenaries that were employed by the British. While the crossing of the Delaware occurred on Christmas night, the actual attack didn't happen until the morning of December 26th.
  19. I've seen a lot of scoring TDs early and then either taking their foot off the gas or ineptitude after that. That works fine when you're playing N.O. and Seattle with their 2nd string QBs in the game but I'm not as excited to see it against good playoff teams at their late season version of full strength.
  20. I care very much about not being swept by the Vikings and playoff seeding has nearly zero to do with it. "You play to win the game!" - Abraham Lincoln probably
  21. If teams are following the established rules then they should be able to do it and I'd have no problem with it. Same as the Dodgers abusing the deferred payments with Ohtani & others (which I think should be changed to discourage that abuse). As to whether I'd like it would depend on if it gets to a point where I'd feel it's being abused and I kind of doubt there are enough guys in the league that would see high enough value to qualify where it would matter that much.
  22. Still probably going to hang a banner in Fiserv though.
  23. First, the prize for winning the Cup was just shy of $515,000 per player with one exception. Guard Ryan Rollins is currently with the Bucks on a 10 day contract, by rule he will only receive half of that prize (approx $257K) since he's not on a fully guaranteed contract. Even half the prize money still ends up representing close to 50% of his total salary for the season. Dame was asked about the prize money afterwards and this was his answer (video should start around the 7:15 mark):
