I agree but I suppose many personal fouls are kind of like technical things. There should be flagrant fouls that are not cancelable.

Philly's defense right there with the Packers with awful play. I don't know what it is about kicks right down the middle but it's very satisfying.

Can Reed play defense, or block on the offensive line? Or all the other things going wrong... I like our kicker a lot so far.

My guess (hope) is the Eagles are more focused on stopping run plays when Jacobs is in the game, less so with Wilson.

I don't disagree with your overall point but I prefer to cut Milner a break, he pitched well enough to get through a clean inning but was given a ghost runner not of his making. Ground ball to SS just out of reach... baseball is a tough game sometimes. It wasn't a classic "fall apart at the seams" blown inning. Could have happened to anyone. Still counts. 2 runs. Plain and simple the offense has to score more than that. Especially when provided a runner on 2nd with no outs.

Fitzgerald's numbers are nice but this isn't an "MVP" of the rookies vote, it's just ROY and Fitzgerald, in my opinion, doesn't have the counting stats (and 50 to 60 games fewer) to measure up to the Jacksons. Same with Winn, getting a bit heavy lean to defense, which is great but this is traditionally a mostly offensively focused award and Chourio has him beat. Merrill has 4.4 fWAR, Chourio 3.5, Winn & Fitzgerald 3.3 each. Skenes is a legit threat if he doesn't get shut down. Barring a Skenes win this is Merrill's race to lose - unless Chourio goes nuclear (which I'm all for).

theScore put out a ROY rankings article a day or so ago and Chourio didn't make their top 5 NL rookies (all they did was a top 5). That felt like a pretty large (and IMO embarrassing) oversight. Their top 5 were 1. Merrill 2. Skenes 3. Winn 4. Fitzgerald 5. Imanaga.
