    Someone was complaining last night about Bauers popping out on a first pitch, well I personally hate when guys watch strike 1 & 2 and then swing at some garbage pitch to strike out like Contreras just did.

    6 run 8th by the Mets. Now let's see a Braves comeback, Mets use up some leverage RPs and end up having to play for the win in game 2.

    Guess I didn't realize that, was thinking that was more of a college rule. To be fair I think it's been a long time since I've seen a muffed punt that didn't look like it was immediately down by contact.

    I'm confused how the punt recovery wasn't a TD? I guess I stopped paying attention and just assumed it was a TD so I didn't see an explanation.

    Let's be real, Narveson isn't the problem with this game. He's a problem going forward but this game isn't being saved by a kicker. Dear lord another pick.

    It's like they learned nothing from when they played without Love. Abandoned the run game and become one dimensional, Vikings can bring pressure and the passing game goes to crap. It's too early to let that happen but it happened anyway.

    Thing with Darnold is has he ever played behind a competent offensive line before? He's had flashes before and if you give a QB time they should be able to have success. Minnesota has the o-line, run threat and passing attack to be successful. That's without the Packers commiting penalty after penalty and getting no pass rush.

    No, the bonus is not going to happen. If Tellez clears waivers and then signed with a team as a free agent he would make a pro-rated league minimum salary and the bonus clause dies since it would be a brand new contract. A team would have to claim him off waivers to take on the contract from the Pirates and if the Brewers (or any other team) did that the last 5 games alone would cost approx. $100K in salary per his existing contract. Then they'd be paying him the extra $200K just for fun, assuming they give him at least 4 at bats, which they definitely wouldn't want to do. If they were feeling generous they could save $100K and just cut him a check for the $200K as a gift without signing him to their team and it would amount to the same thing. Either way, the most likely scenario is he goes home a free agent for the remainder of the season and collects the rest of his pay (what remains of the original $3.2M) from the Pirates, minus the bonus. ETA: I'm not even sure there's enough time left in the season for any of this to happen, I think the waiver period on DFAs is 10 days? He would not be eligible for the postseason for any claiming team.
