  1. Corbin Burnes needed one small tweak to go from the shadows to the spotlight https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2158552/corbin-burnes-needed-one-small-tweak-to-go-from-the-shadows-to-the-spotlight
  2. Message to Lindblom: eating up some innings for an injured starter generally requires getting an out here and there.
  3. That wouldn't surprise me. Ideally, if he were going to come back this week (in the next 7 days), I'd hope he can get back playing by Monday, the start of the home series with the Marlins. That would give him 3 games to hopefully shake off a little rust before the 4 game series with the Dodgers. Still, obviously he shouldn't come back until they're absolutely sure he's ready.
  4. I think today is the 10th day for Yelich, with them being able to backdate him 3 days and going on the IL on the 17th. So tomorrow, maybe?
  5. Coming into the season I was more than happy thinking Robertson's presence might mean we were done with the likes of Jace Peterson.
  6. He's really making Robertson look bad which has to be a mental health issue for Robertson. Jace Peterson is psychologically assaulting Daniel Robertson! He's so mean!
  7. Shaw has 9 hitless ABs vs. LHP with 1 BB, 1 HBP & 4 Ks; .182 OPS Garcia is 1 for 5 vs. LHP with a double, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 1 HBP & 1 K; .900 OPS
  8. +22 run differential. 53 runs allowed, tied with the Giants for fewest* in the majors. Mets have allowed only 40 but have only played 12 games, they're allowing more runs per game however. Brewers/Giants 3.12, Mets 3.33 per game. Also 10th in MLB in runs scored with 75, not too shabby for a "bad" offense.
  9. Roenicke was all about his "eys" too. Braunie, Gomie, etc. I think the most obnoxious part about it is that he would often refer to RickIE Weeks as "Rick". Ha, that's the thing about nicknames, gotta go the opposite from the regular. My brother and I would ironically call Rickie, "Richard" just for the ridiculousness of it all.
  10. Ok, but were you getting on him because he didn't catch it or are you only upset about the read? Because it seemed to me you felt it should have been an easy play, maybe I'm wrong.
  11. Unless you can see with JBJ's eyes I'm not sure you can definitively state it was a bad read. Why would I need to see it with JBJ'S eyes? You can see him get a bad jump on it without having a view from centerfield. Because it's clear he didn't know if the ball was hit deep or shallow right away. I can't watch a replay but judgements on balls hit right at you are the hardest to get a read on, the few moments it took for him to determine it was going to fall in front of him was all it took to turn an out into a hit.
  12. I mean it was a really bad read. That's what happened, it's not overblowing it. No one said it doesn't happen to the best of them. Unless you can see with JBJ's eyes I'm not sure you can definitively state it was a bad read.
