  1. Musgrave is so bad, he actually helped out by not catching the ball, making a fumble impossible. Nice job, kid!
  2. I’d say this is unbelievable, but that’s really the exact opposite of what it is.
  3. Completely bottle up the Eagles running game six days ago, but make Jameis Winston look like Josh Allen. I just don’t understand.
  4. A couple two tree of those picks better be house calls, then. This offense on the road and having to score 20+ feels like a lift. The Giants are going to run QB3, RB2/3, and WR2/3 out there in this game. If there’s any hope this year, the signs of life have to show up this week, and outscoring the Giants is not exactly like climbing K2. But you’d never know it to look at the Packers…
  5. The other horrifying thought I have is that the defense is probably not even as good as it looks. But other teams have so thoroughly figured out that they stand a reasonable chance of keeping a lid on our scoring that they just don’t need to take chances on offense since handing us a string of turnovers is the only way we run away against anyone. Ironically, that means our best chance to win will come against aggressive teams who refuse this approach on general principle—like Detroit. But I’m done trying to talk myself into this team, so I’m not pursuing this thought experiment further. It’s been a horrific month of offense, and nary a silver lining in sight.
  6. I would make no argument to save either of them. I’m just trying to imagine what it would take to see LaFleur fired before the second half of December. If the two are tied together (and I think you’re right), then it makes it harder to imagine LaFleur gets fired before we’re eliminated.
  7. I agree nothing happens to LaFleur while they occupy a playoff spot or are within a game or two of it mid year. But if they go on a five game losing streak, then it starts boiling down to Policy and Gute. Does Policy give Gute the sense that he can throw LaFleur over the side and save himself? And then what’s your plan? They probably either need the hot OC of the moment (Kubiak) or a CEO-type HC who has a line on an up and coming playcaller. It’s a desperate play, but it would be all they have at that point. Running it back one more time next year would be unthinkable, and so there’s little point in waiting, just like what happened to MM.
  8. For the first time in my life, I just thought to myself that if we swapped the Bears QB and Bears playcaller in for our QB and playcaller, we probably flip a loss to a win. The very plausibility of that statement makes me ill.
  9. I should probably just take a break until divisional play. I hate watching this team right now and they aren’t even fun.
  10. It’s the getting worse on offense that’s the fireable offense for both Gute and LaFleur.
  11. We spent these picks on wideouts and all this money on the o-line and they can’t execute. Love is being paid like a star and he just averages out to somewhere in the 10-15 QB range. Being mid is an organizational problem from top to bottom.
  12. Just no words. We out-dumbed our opponent again. Why do I even do this?
  13. Remember, they have to make it close to really let you down.
  14. That was so stupid by the Eagles. I’m stunned.
  15. Technically, we’ll be in last wildcard position but whatever. It doesn’t matter where we end up if the offense looks like this.
  16. Now we’re about to find out how much the defense has in the tank. Looked pretty empty that last drive.
  17. Bubble screen to Williams. Deep in the bag of tricks.
  18. Honestly it’s good they couldn’t get it done against Cleveland, Carolina, or Dallas. They’ve got nowhere to hide. No more saying, well, we’re really close against the big boys. It’s all just BS.
  19. Yeah, I don’t want to see any more efficiency stats for this offense. I’m over it. Score points or you are just a bad offense.
  20. 4th and 11 I don’t hate the punt, I hate everything that led up to it.
  21. What exactly does Bo Melton do here besides make mistakes?
  22. More screwing up the details. Nice, nice. Good job, brainiacs.
  23. I completely forgot about that tempest in a teapot. Man that feels really tiresome now, doesn’t it?
